And I just turned around and I call ass out of there. I was done. I wasn't deal with them. The hypocrisy of the cult is one of the things that turned me. Away the quickest. When I turned my head lights on, it turned and looked at us. And one of the things I remember the most where the eyes were going red. I see an orb of light. It is just circling these steps. Like it is waiting for me. And he begins to tell them that he saw a UFO. They're basically like, what are you talking about. That's seven foot up on a tree, peeking around it, and that's where I saw. The top of the muzzle, nose and the eyes. As soon as I made eye contact with this thing. I don't like death. Like take this time to welcome my guest today, saying thanks for coming here and talking to him. Yeah, no problem at all, pleasure to be here. Would you like to let the audience know a little bit about yourself? Yeah? Sure. So. I live basically in the shadow of a place called Pendall Hill, which is in the northwestern Acashire. Been living here most of my life. Currently hit like the forty seven year mark. Forty eight this year, I've been camping up and around Pendall Hill now for like twenty years. Twenty years it is twenty years. I've got to just make myself feel old. And yeah, Pendall Hills it's an interesting place to camp. Let's just say that. What else could I tell you? I'll work customer services. So sometimes just getting out camping and getting away from people's scream at your days just nice. Yeah, customer services is. I'm good at it. But sometimes you just need to shut off, disconnect and just go somewhere where nobody's going to bother you. And that's that's how I started camping and eventually started camping up Pendle Hill, and that's when obviously my encounters started. So yeah, that's basically the top and bottom of it. Do you want to dive into your first experience out there? Oh? Actually my first experience up there, I didn't know it was my first experience until much much later. You know how, I don't even like calling them dogmen. I actually prefer the term wolfmen, but it seems that dog men's become the nomenclature, so I guess I'll keep using. That dogmen any other Yeah. No, it doesn't really do them justice when you first see one of them, and yeah, it's but anyway that they have like this this sort of I don't know what would you call it, like an aura that surrounds them, you feel them before you see them. Does that make sense? Yes? Yeah, So. When I started camping up, their first few camps up there were absolutely fine. There's a couple of reservoirs up there called the Ogden Reservoirs. Now, I don't know if you know much about Pendall Hill. What do you know anything about Pendall Hill? I know absolutely nothing. So Pendall Hill is the most haunted and supernaturally active place in the United Kingdom. Of Great Britain. You have the Salem Witch Trials, we had the Pendle Witches, obviously, you know, there's a whole history around Pendall of like devil worship and Satanic colts. Obviously witches. Believe it or not. The guy who founded the Quakers, he actually visited Pendle Hill and wrote about it in his journal. But but yeah, Pendall Hill is a very supernaturally active place. There's reports of demonic activity, people seeing shadow hounds, ghosts. And obviously you know dog men. There's people reported seeing lights. It is a very very. Very active place, the hill itself and the sort of area surrounding. But so my first experience, like I say, I didn't even know it was really a dog Man until much later on. But I've been. Camping up there a few months, yeah, a few months, and I was up on one of the reservoirs, just sitting chill, got nice fire going, and it it's it's that the aura that they they sort of exude is just it's so unreal, and I just started to feel really, really really uneasy, uncomfortable, like I was being watched. And at that time, like I said, I didn't know what was going on, but I felt so uncomfortable that I actually abandoned that camp. I just had this this feeling the back of my head that something wasn't right, and it's something that I'd never experienced before because I'm usually quite comfortable with camping, because before this had camped in places like the Yorkshire Dales National Park. They've got camp sites there, they've got places where you. Can wild camp. But it was so unsettling that I literally packed up and left that that first time, because you know, you get that feeling and you got like something that's not right. I shouldn't be here, it's it was. It was a feeling like that, and so that was my real first encounter. But I didn't realize until encounters that came after that that that was like my first encounter. It must have been nearby, but yeah, that that was really my first encounter. I didn't see anything, just this really uneasy, unpleasant fear creeping up the back of your spine, if you know what I'm saying. It then moved on from there. I kept camping. My next camp, I moved somewhere else, didn't have an issue, and the first time I actually spotted a dog man in quotation. I was literally just relaxed. At the campsite, fires blazing away, and I start getting that feeling again. There's just a little bit of rainfalling, so I'm like under a little bit of a top holing and I just look up just in time to see like this, It's like a silhouette because it was dark, so it was like a shadow moving in shadows. And at first I thinking it's probably just a deer. It's probably just a deer, but that uneasy feeling didn't leave, and I just kept staring in that direction until eventually it was like these two little red pinpricks of light, and that was really the first time I saw a dog man. They're big, I mean, they're huge. People describe them in stories and online. You hear people talk about them. Until you're actually standing there staring one of them down, you don't realize just how big they actually are. I mean, it's it's a scary experience, I mean, a really scary experience. It just sort of watched me for a bit, very very uneasy, feeling very like at any moment, he could just decide that he doesn't want me there, and that's it. I'm done. And from there those sort of experiences, I don't have them every time I counts up there. But from then on I started having more and more sort of encounters with them somewhere I would see them somewhere I wouldn't. Thankfully, They've never actually, you know, put me in a position where I've had to run for you know, fear of being hurt. I have been in situations where I've thought, yeah, no, I don't want to deal with this today and just left. But I've never been in a position where I thought that they were going to actually physically arm me. Thankfully. How many have you actually, like, how many encounters have you actually had. Over twenty years maybe to it, I think you had two dozen their cells. Now, when you have these encounters, do they typically acknowledge you at all? Or are they just kind of go about their own business or are they watching you? The vast majority of the time they're just going about their own business. I have had a couple of encounters where they've acknowledged me, and those are the ones that are the most frightening. Because you're on their territory. That's their turf as far as they're concerned, their territory, and you're on it most of the time, you're pretty much I don't know. They probably see us as beneath them. We're not their prey or their typical prey whatever whatever it is they hunt. But they don't like you on their territory. If they do take notice of you, and they could be quite vindictive, and they enjoy that. That power that they hold. Over you because they're so large and they are apex predators. Basically. How big of an area is this Pendall Hill? So the Pendall Hill area, I've actually never look this up. This is interesting. If you have a look, it's like it's a few hundred square miles, Okay, So it's not a small area. Where are we So Boland, which is part of Pendall that helmet zone is about eight hundred and three square kilometers of the countryside just looking at it. So you know, Pendle Hill itself is quite a large area, and the areas that surround it it's quite a large area as well, So it isn't a small area of land. We're talking about. How common is it again for me being over here in America? Like I'm in these cryptid groups and over here for the most part, y'all talk about like bigfoot and stuff like that. But over in England you don't really, at least for us, you don't hear a whole lot about things over there. Yeah, No bigfoots and Wendy Gooes, skin walkers, things like that. You don't really hear about them much in England. And I'm not sure. I think skin walkers is partly. Down to its its roots in Native American culture, So we don't really get skin walkers over here because it's not a part of the culture that we have over here. Bigfoots and what we're the. What did they call them skun capes, whatever you want to call them. Yeah, yeah, it's again I don't think we have because from what I understand, they actually need quite large areas, huge areas of land. So yeah, I don't know why we don't hear about those sort of things over just just that's one of the things that makes me think that cryptids, you know, are something we should be looking more into. It's clear that they have their own, you know, geographical locations, So that's probably why we're not seeing things like sasquatches and bigfoots over here. We've got our own whole host of cryptids that that that we deal with over here, and same as America's got its own, and I imagine that other countries have their own as well that they have that they deal with. Yeah. I was basically kind of curious, like how well known is these upright walking canids wolfman, dog man like whatever they could possibly be, Like, isn't there anything out that you're aware of that other people have seen the same things? Because here we have we have locations here that are considered quote unquote hot spots. Yeah, so I didn't know if that was this area is something that has been talked about by other people. Oh, Pendall Pendall Hill's a big hot spot. On YouTube. There's quite a few people who, you know, the ghost hunters and the people who go out looking for supernatural activity things like that. They they've started paying attention to Pendall. Hill a lot more. Now. I think the fame for Pendall Hill really started with we had a television show over here called Most Haunted. Mostly fake. I'll say that right now. The Most Haunted series was mostly fake, but they did an episode up Pendall Hill which became very popular, and that sort of I think started attracting people's attention from further Afield to what actually goes on at Pendall Hill. But Pendall Hill is the big hot spot in the UK. Okay, see, I think most of those shows will make it on TV are for the most part just entertainment purposes. So I think a lot of it's exaggerated and acted it out. I don't think they might get some interesting stuff here and there, but for the most part, I think it's over dramatized. Oh yeah, no, absolutely, And nobody really took Most Haunted seriously. It was. It was entertaining, but yeah, definitely not something that a lot of people took seriously. There was a load of controversy surrounding their so called psychic at one point. So yeah, now it's but Pendall Hill's becoming more interesting and more. Popular sort of. Target for those that are seeking out supernatural activity. I mean a lot of them at the most they're looking into the more demonic side, because there was and is a history of like demonic worship, Satanism, the occult that went on around Pendle Hill. There's a lot of that in history, not just there, but like here, like there's always sorts of weird even occult satanic worship and stuff. So those are things that I've actually been trying to look into a little bit more just because it makes me curious about some aspects. It makes me wonder if because of the things that have been done there, this is why some of these creatures are seen around there, because they've somehow been summoned to be there, if that makes sort of any sense. But yeah, yeah, either either that or the actual activities have attracted them rather than summoned them, right. Yeah, So that's that's one thing that definitely, you know, holds some some but yeah, I mean, the the activities from Pendall Hill. They go all the way back to like the sixteen hundreds. That's that's when the Pendal Witch Trials really took place and somebody called Alice Nutter was was hunt. It's part of the Pendle witch Hunt. It was all looking back on it now, like a dispute between two families, the Pendal Witch Trials. But yeah, the stuff that. Went on there around that time, not just with Alice Nutter and the Pendal Witches, but also with other you know, cults and covens. Definitely, I would say contributed. To the supernatural sort of aspects of Pendall Hill. M hm. Now back to your experiences or whatever, how you said these things were large? Yeah, but did they to you? Like I've seen several different descriptions and I've had my own sort of experienced with things. What did they look like from your experiences? Like what do you remember there to be actually looked like? Did they have hands? Did they have like their fur? To details? Like, yeah, yeah, so. They're usually the ones that I've seen are like eight nine foot tall, built like bricks. Shit, Oh sorry, am I to swear. They've got hands? The fir is usually quite manging and patchy. I don't know whether that's because they're they're sickly, or it's it's part of the nature, or whether they're getting in funds and they're getting of it torn out. I'm not sure, but yeah, they're covered in really really thick for they have a very interesting smell. I use interesting in quotations. It just it stinks of like wet dog and rotten meat. No. I was going to ask about the rotting meat because I've heard so many depictions of people saying they smell like rotting flesh, which makes me wonder, why would they smell like something dying. I have no idea why they smell that way. Maybe it could be their breath, to be perfectly honest, I don't know, but that smells definitely definitely there. It's only when they actually get pretty close to you, though, that you get hints and whiffs of it. If they just thought like traveling past and you don't notice them, you're not going to is the smell either. But yeah, when they've taken note of you and they're unhappy with you being there, and they're letting you know that, and they're getting close, you definitely get hit by that stench. And it is pretty pretty pretty ripe, and it's pretty pretty stank. Has there been any reports of these things attacking or trying to attack anyone out there? I don't know of anyone actually being attacked. There are reports of people being chased out. I think one of the favorite tactics of dogmen is is it called a bluff charge, where they'll charge at you to scare the absolute but Jesus out of you so that you go running, and then they'll just turn around and go back and do whatever they do. I've heard of stories of that happening. They've got different ways of getting you out of their tear territory if they don't want you there. I mean a lot of people I think think dog men and they think they're they're just they're just animals. They're not. They're they're really smart. They know what they're doing. They know if they kill a human that that's that's going to end badly for them. Because human turns up dead, that looks like it's been ripped apart by some sort of animal. What's the usual response from the humans nearby? Right, they go and hunt whatever did it, especially here in the UK. I mean, one of the things that we do if we hear that, for example, a rabbit animals somehow loose or gotten loose within the within England, they actually go on huge culls to stop it from spreading. It's one of the things that we used to I don't know if we still do it anymore as much, but that's one of the things we used to do. We got word of a rabid animal that was it, that entire area got cold until we were satisfied that they're that animal that had the rabies is gone. Hm hmm. So they're they're they're not stupid. They know that if they kill the human or even even attack of human to the point where they're leading marks and scars, then similar things are going to happen to them. We're going to turn up with the force multipliers and it's going to just it's going to make their life a lot more difficult. When you had your sightings of them, were they ever more than just one or did you see them in a group setting. I've never seen uh, never seen them in a group. I've seen different individuals, but I've never seen them group together. They seem to be solitary for the most part. And the way I could tell that they're individuals. Some of them are slightly large, obviously different sizes. One of the ways as well, is the color of their eyes. They'll have different shades of ice. Some will be closer to amber, someone will be closer to red. And I think, I think, I think I've spied about three or four different individuals so far in you know, the past twenty years that I've been up there. But yeah, they generally tend to stick to themselves by the looks of it. The head part of them. I've heard different depictions of how people describe their heads, like do they look more wolf like or are they more Rottweiler like, or I've heard some state that look like pit bulls. Their faces are really again, unique to the individual, just like you know, we look different from each other. They do look slightly different from each other. There's some that do have the short There's one that I've seen that has a short, powerful, sort of like pitbull like snout. There's one up there I've seen. It's more like a Dobermin pincer. It's got quite a long muzzle on him. The sharp pointed ears. I've seen something that's more similar to to to. Like a wolf as well. Where it's just got that strong jaw, but it's still quite elongated, but not like thin like Adoberman's is. So the Yeah, they're they're different. They've all got different sort of appearances in the in the in the face. Do you this is not so much a question for an answer, but what do you think these things actually are? That's a a really good question. I don't think that they're natural. I don't know many creatures that walk around on on land that have eyes that literally produce their own illumination. I know, dig down in the ocean you get bioluminescence, but having something that has actual glowing eyes is not what I would call natural. Do I think that they're supernatural? Uh, it's definitely a possibility. It is definitely a possibility, because that aura is not just that that that sort of fear that they carry around with them. I figured that that fear is a mix of anticipatory fear. I don't know if you've heard of that, but it's basically, you're out there, you're on your own, and your survival instincts are in overdrive, and you just start getting the fear of what may happen in the back of your mind. Sometimes you don't even realize you're thinking it. It could be just as well the strength of their presence, that supernatural side of themselves that just sort of we don't realize we're attuned to, but we do pick up on. So are they supernatural? I definitely think that they could be. Absolutely There's a. Lot of things about them that I've heard from other people and hearing it on other podcasts and reading up on it. They have these abilities that don't seem to suggest that they are normal in the sense of the flesh and blood biological creature. Now, I can't attest to this and say this is one hundred percent true, because who knows. But some people hear voices, some people say these things are smiling at them. There's all these different variations of these stories, so to me, a lot of it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. And then you have people saying that they've come up to their door or windows and they tap on the glass. M yeah, I've heard them stories as well. For me, it's like, if they're doing something like that, if they really wanted to get people, why are they like tapping on the glass. So it's almost like it's a game. To them. I think that, Yeah, I think you hit the bail on the head there. I think that they enjoy they're a little bit at least the ones that are the darker ones, the ones that you know, the ones that are typically encountered. They're definitely I would say they can be sadistic, which is an unpleasant thought. I think that they, like I think I mentioned earlier, I think they enjoy the power that they quite clearly hold over us, that at any second they could just literally, you know, flip their wrists and actually we're lying on the floor dead. And I think they do play games with us, which just you know, it's cruel. Which again I've not experienced this sort of behavior myself, but I don't doubt the stories that have been told because I've got no reason to. But if they've been like tapping on glass, smiling at people talking, I've not heard it one of them talk yet. I don't know how i'd feel if that happened. But if all of those things are happening, then. Yeah, that's that's an unpleasant thought. I'm actually curious because you've had these experiences, but you continue to go back out there. I've been camping out there for like twenty years now, and i go maybe once or twice a month, and I've only had like maybe two dozen two dozen and a half encounters I've lost I don't count them really, but so the encounters that I have are actually few and far between compared to the amount of times that I've been camping up there. So in reality, you know, these are these are like rare occurrences for me. So most of the time I go camping up there, absolutely find no issues whatsoever. I just have a nice camp disconnect and you know, go back on the Sunday and get ready for work on the Monday. So yeah, it's encountering them is not a normal thing. So I just just keep camping up there. Do you go to the same spot or do you move around while you're up there? I'll move around. There's a few places up there, have got the Ogden reservoirs. There's a couple of woods up there as well that are quite nice to camp in. There's actually a few reservoirs up there. But yeah, move around a little bit. Mainly on the western sorry, I know, the eastern side of the hill. I haven't been around to the other side. Heading towards the. Coast. But yeah, it's move around quite a few places up there. There's a few campsites as well. Mostly I do what's called stealth camping because you're not really supposed to do what called wild camping anywhere in England because it's technically illegal, so you're supposed to use the camp sites. I don't really like using the campsites all that much, so I'll just find somewhere quite out the way where I'm not going to encounter too many people, if anyone, and just camp up there for the night and just chill out right. No, that makes sense. I've never been one that camped a whole lot like. I've done it a few times here there, and I went with my family or went with my whatever, but it was few and far between, and the last time we went camping has been probably five years ago. So it's kind of I like the idea of it, but I'm also hesitant, I guess, because I kind of know what or what I think I know is around these areas. So it makes end, isn't it in America where you get most of the encounters with with like dog men, and when it goes is it the Appalachian Trail or the Appalachians. Yeah. Down in the Appalachians you get a lot of Bigfoot, and you hear like the LVL there's stories of dog men and stuff too. And then up north for me is Michigan, and that's where the whole Michigan dog man term actually originated for. Yeah, read the Michigan dog Man. Yeah no, I definitely get the reds. It's not for everyone who isn't camping because you are out on your own and it's it can be, you know, it's not for everyone. I'm forty seven years old. I still love going camping, absolutely love going camping, and I won't stop. But yeah, no, it's one of those things where you've spent a week, like I say, being screened at by customers for problems that aren't your fault, trying to fix them for them, and you just sometimes you just need to get out of the house, grab a ten, grab like an mre, just disappear out into the woods and just completely just stay away from everyone for like twenty four hours. It's like, I'm gone. If you don't hear from me in twenty four hours, send somebody to find me. I've often wondered like when people do go camping here we hear this is completely ten foil hat conspiracy talk. But here we have a lot of people I say a lot. It's not as many as but for me it seems like a lot. But people go missing a lot when they go camping and hiking, and they're usually in these national forests like protected government lands and their parks, and they go out and they go well, I understand that people can get lost, but then some people, like the Nave Polites has a show like the Missing four one one where these people just as grandomly missed. There's no trace of them, there's nothing, they never find any evidence on. They just vanish. And if you put a layer of cryptid sightings over top of where these people have missed like come up missing, it kind of co excides with that. Like the areas of where these people were last seen were also had reports of other like weird phnomenaalies been there, like even UFO sightings, So it's like there's a lot of weird activity that goes on in these areas, and these hot spots from weird activity is also where these people come up missing. So it's like, as lad I don't know. I mean, it's definitely correlates. You know, you're getting these people missing in these high areas of you know, cryptid activity or supernatural unknown activity. It definitely, it's definitely interesting. I don't know much about the for one one, it's not something that we. Really hear about here in the UK. I've heard about it because you know, since I started having these encounters, I've been looking into cryptids and all sorts. Right, But yeah, the missing for one one, mister in fact, I think it was mister Bolin. I don't know if you heard mister ballin. Oh. He does these. Stories, supernatural stories in a narrative format on YouTube's Next Navy Seal and he reads these these stories at about you know, demon encounters, the dial it of pass. I believe he's done that story as well. Really good YouTuber. But a lot of the four to one one stuff that I know abouts from him, and yeah, no, definitely interesting, definitely interesting. I don't know if it's like the government's involved. The government might be hiding it to try and avoid a panic, because let's be honest, if people knew that these things were real for definite, I mean, what kind of panic would. That cause right, I was actually I thought about this earlier because there's some other things I'm working on that aren't this show related. But my thought process was, if these things were real, what are the repercussions of it coming out that they are real? At this point, the government can say that it's true and they've known for a while, and everyone's going to be backlashing against the government. Same thing like with the UFOs. If they come out and say, hey, Alincolns are real, here's the UFO, we've known about them all this time, you're basically admitting that you lied for all these years. So I don't ever see them coming out and being like we were covering it up, because that admits that they lied. And I don't ever see a government coming out and saying that they admit that they lied. No, No, I don't think that they'd ever come out and admit it, you know, just have a press conference and say, yeah, you know, these things are real, we've covered them for years. Because yeah, there'd be a degree of backlash, but then there'd also be the panic of oh my word, they're actually real, or what are we going to do that they'd just be panic and breakdown so I can understand to a degree if the government knows about them then wanting to keep it hush hush, but them being complicit, you know, with the conspiracy of them being complicit with the people going missing, I can't see that for some reason, it doesn't the logic doesn't track right. No, it's I'm not one to believe everything, especially when it's mainstream, But I'm also not one to think that everything is a cover up in a conspiracy. So now when it comes to Bigfoot, and this is where I struggle up. There's been so many reports of people seeing these bigfoot type creatures, and there's been a lot more here lately about dog Man. Dog Man's kind of become a trendy thing, which I don't know why but kind of has. And if everyone that's claiming they had an experience or they've saw something or whatever, I feel like at some point if all these were true, we'd have more definitive proof at this point, because there's so many other podcasts out there that are similar to what I do, that have people that I've never talked to coming on their show having these experiences and talking about the people think that they've experienced. You start adding all these people up that was a hell of a lot of eyewitnesses seeing something. But where is the proof of it? Like, for some reason, we don't have any undeniable physical evidence to prove that these things are real. Yeah, which is weird because with dog men as well, we've got at least got some sort of footage and photos of like bigfoots and sasquatches. You can argue the authenticity of those photos or you want, but at least we have something. With dog men. And this is why I believe that they could be of some supernatural nature, is the fact that there's there's no photos. There's there's no footage of them, there's hardly any evidence of them outside of word of mouth. I mean, I think you asked me the question, did I ever have I ever tried to go up there and like get footage of them and get photos of them? Yeah, And I say, the reason I go. Up there to camp is to just disconnect, so I don't take a phone with me, And to be honest, even if I did, the times that I see them, it's it's dark. You know, you're not going to get a decent photo of them. And just be more blurry pixelation and then everyone argues about that too. Exactly, it'd be a shadow inside of a shadow, and what does that prove. So I mean I've never. I know, I've never even thought about getting photos of them, to be honest, because I just don't think it'd be I mean, who's it going to convince. Ultimately, people who are already believe in the dog men are going to believe the photos, and the people that don't believe it that they're not going to believe it no matter what. So I just, yeah, it's never occurred to me to get photos. But yeah, the fact that we don't have any sort of like hard physical evidence, I think leans into the fact that dog men wolf men are quite possibly something, you know, unnatural. I've often wondered where they would have originated from, but even from like Native American tribes here and even obviously over in Europe. I know France had like werewolf trials back and I think the seventeen hundreds, there's been a lot of weird reports in all through Europe there's been reports of like werewolves, like and then you've had the ancient Egyptians had a Nubis, who was like a jackal headed god to them like a man with a dog head or jackal head or what everyone will call it. And then there's been other depictions too, so like this is not a new phenomena, but I think the term dog man is more newer because again, the whole Michigan dog man thing, I think is where it kind of originated. That So I don't want to say that dog man is a were wolf. But at the same time, I've kind of correlated to the fact that I think what people referred to as were wolves may have been the same thing. Now there are depictions of where men change into these things, and dog men are always these things anyway. Anyway, once where they change, they're like the skin walkers or what. I've from my shifts. Yeah, yeah, I. Think that's that's where our common where wolf comes from. I think dog Yeah, dog men, I agree something else entirely now. If they are what they are, then I think they are more all the time those types of creatures. I don't think it's a man morphing into that, and anything that does morph into that, like the skin walker, at least for to my knowledge, it's more of a Navajo type of thing. And there's certain aspects of how you become a skin walker, and it's all ritualistic and they're not even like a cryptid. It's more of a like I said, it's more of an don't even want to call it a spiritual type thing, but it's not encryptied. And then you have random encounters of shape shifters and they're not a skin walker. But all, like different American tribes have all had their own versions of things, and I think a lot of these things are based off the same exact thing, but they all called them something different based off their legends and their myths. So if you start to break it down into like the descriptions of what these things look like, like, the Wind to Go was a pale like humanoid thing. It was actually a person that became like cannibalized. And the depictions that we have now with the antler heads and everything that was a modernized version. They kind of bastardized the original descriptions. So what they originally were or like a pale humanoid type thing. We also have things over here that people say are pale crawlers and rakes, which rekes was actually invented on Creepypasta years ago, but they were based off of descriptions of these pale human aid looking things. Again, that almost lines back up to what the Native Americans were originally calling windygoes. Yeah, yeah, it's it's interesting. It's like. An ever evolving sort of mythology of cryptids because it's hard to get evidence of them. It's a lot of the encounters and descriptions of these these things are sort of. Passed down words to mouth. It's sort of like an oral tradition, and obviously Chinese whispers. Over time, even with oral traditions, things just change ever so slightly with variations, yeah, exactly, and those little variations over time become larger variations. So yeah, it's really interesting how the whole mythology of certain cryptids, if you trace it back to where we think it might start and you follow it along, it's amazing to see just how it changes over time, just little bits at a time, until you get to a point where it's like completely different from what was originally you know, what was the original mythology. Right, You never know what it originally was, like you can go back and you trace it. But and this is what I've said before other people is every legend and every myth is rooted in truth to an extent, like something had to influence the story. Yes, so everything's based off of an actual experience. Now maybe what the experience is and what the story ended up becoming, but something happened to influence that whole story in the first place. YEA, every sort of story of a cryptid, supernatural creature, you know, encounter with the deity, it goes to demon It's all roots back to somewhere that started it. Absolutely, so it's got it's basis in truth somewhere. But in a lot of cases, that original sort of incident, if you will, or encounter, it's so far back in our history now that it's just been forgotten. Yeah, it's it's been overwhelmed by the the all those little changes that have happened. Along the way. Definitely, but the original encounter there's still pieces of that too. Like, so, I know a lot of the tribes around here have hairy man's stories. Well what is a hairy man. There's a wild man. There's a sasquatch, or there's a big foot, and there's a they've all a skunk gave They've all got different names, but it's basically all the same sort of thing. But what is a big foot? You know, Like, we don't know that. But if you go off the descriptions from all across the country and you go you have the same description of these things in different countries on different continents. They all have their variations, but for the most part that they're describing the same thing. Yeah, no, absolutely, I mean the. A lot of the times the descriptions that they're narrowed down to the vocabulary of an individual, so they might not be able to describe it as accurately as somebody else might be able to, which leads to those sort of variations between cultures. And then obviously you've got the language differences as well, and mistranslations can play a part which can lead to like say, for example, bigfoot being split up into being like three or four different cryptids. Yeah no, there's definitely variations and different depictions and different aspects to them, but I still think a lot of them are all still based off the same sort of thing. And just like people, we all look a little different and depending on their surroundings, they're going to evolve a little differently. But that is a bigfoot as a creature that evolves from flesh and blood evolutionary lines, and that's where I struggle with dog man type things, because there's nothing in evolution that would line up to be a nine foot tall, walking, dog headed humanoid. Yeah, so that's where it doesn't make any sort of sense for me. Yeah. No, I don't see it being evolutionary again, which is why I'm leaning towards it being supernatural in nature. I mean that story I posted on Ready of the one with the blue eyes kind of lens credence to the fact that maybe we're looking at something that's not. Natural, very ethereal, something from the different planes of existence. But then you hear people call them demons, so I don't know. Not demons demons. Demons don't prowl around woods, you know, looking like they're hunting for something or claiming out or carving out patches of territory. Thankfully, I've never had an encounter with the demon. I'm very happy about that, and don't want to have an encounter with a demon, thank you very much. They're not welcome here, but yeah, no, I wouldn't say that they're demonic. I'd say that they're more an aspect of. Nature. Perhaps, I don't know, because nature can be very cruel, and I think they're that aspect of it. Maybe f I'm just speculating guessing here, literally just speculating and guessing. That's that's all anybody can too. I know, I know, it's h it's yeah. I mean, I definitely mean to being supernatural. I don't think there are anything that could have evolved. Whereas you've sat a squatched and your you would a see skun capes, those could definitely I could definitely see them evolving from primates. Right, Well, we've been going on for close to an hour. Is there anything else that you would like to discuss before we wrap this one up? No? No, really, I'm just really thankful that you thought enough to bring me on and have a chat with me. It's been good fun just having a having a chin wag. No, I appreciate you coming on here and talking with me, But no, when it comes to anything especially like UK or anywhere else, it always interests me because again I'm here in America, so I don't always get to hear all the stuff from over there. So I always find it fascinating when someone else wants to come on and talk and share some of their experiences from other countries. Yeah, I mean. I think England as well, with it being as old as it is, we've got quite a rich tapestry of cryptids, you know, from like the Lotness Monster to the Beast of bogdom Moore, So we've got quite a few cryptids here ourselves. So yeah, I just hope. That I maybe piqued people's interests in getting him to come over here. I have a little bit of an explorer around the area. Pendle Hill, like I say, is it been officially recognized as the most haunted place in the UK. So if you think you're brave enough, yeah, come and have a camp out. The UK is my number two most less into region. So oh right, okay, yeah we're quite We do like good campfire stories. I said, I'm number one in America for most of my stuff, but UK is number two. So glad to have listeners over there that enjoy what I do. And I love talking to people like you and everyone else too. But it's always interests me, like I said, to hear from someone else from a different country, because we all have our own unique stories. But again they're very similar and it still just makes me wonder, like exactly what all these things are. But again, I don't know if anyone's ever gonna have an answer. I don't think we'll ever get a definisive answer. But do we really want a definished of answer? Do we really want to know? Because it kind of ruined the mystery at this point. I just want to know what happened to me. I want to know what I saw, and I don't care if the rest of the world never gets to know. For my own self, I just need to know. It's like that burning desire that I have to know. Yeah, yeah, no, I get that. I get that, But yeah, yeah, no, I don't think we ever will. Unfortunately, though, I think by their very nature that it's going to be difficult, if not impossible, to find out exactly what they are. No, I agree to that.
