[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_01]: That's seven foot up on a tree peeking around it

[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's where I saw the top of the muzzle nose and the eyes as soon as I made eye contact with this thing

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_05]: No, we dive into it. I'll be honored too because it's the topic you're gonna talk about is something that's fascinated me for a long time

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_05]: But before we do that, would you like to let the audience know a little bit about yourself?

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Sure

[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Course my name is Geraldine. I go ahead and tell you it's set in step

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Grew up on a farm all my life Betty was farmer and

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_00]: So, you know

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of I

[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Guess innocence because we did grow up innocent

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_00]: We didn't grow up wild or crazy or anything, but I am from a family of 12 kids

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_00]: My mom had seven kids by her first marriage and she had five by my dad

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_00]: So there was a bunch of us. So there was always something exciting going on

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_00]: But

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_00]: The story that I'm about to tell, you know

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_00]: This is something that my parents kept from us and did not talk about and

[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_00]: I actually

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Found this out by accident

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they meant to let us know as young as we were at the time

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, they didn't really want to know about this, but they figured, you know

[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_00]: They better learn sometime because they're gonna find it out

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_00]: But they do keep it hush-hush the older kids knew about it because my mom and her first husband lived

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_00]: In Kelly, Kentucky where this incident happened

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And so they knew about it, but they never talked about it

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Either so, you know, it was kind of strange that this was never brought up until it was

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_00]: But

[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean this story is great people love it. I mean I get people from all over the

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Country contacting me all the time, you know want to know more, you know

[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Anything they can get a hold of because it is a great story

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Basically, I heard about this years ago

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_05]: And I forget where I watched it. It was one of those reenactment shows and

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_05]: I believe it was probably history channel or one of those whatever

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, I actually think there was also they did a episode of project blue book on it

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_05]: and

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_05]: I've always found it fascinating

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_05]: So I tried to do some research on the real thing and then

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_05]: I've seen people oh as owls or whatever before we dive into like I

[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Would hope people would know the difference between an owl

[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_05]: You know like I don't always I hate when people do that like they always use a known animal

[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Is an explanation for something I was like people

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_05]: Would know what a basic animal looks like if I'm out in the middle of nowhere and I see a bear

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to know that as a bear. I'm not gonna say it's something else if I see a bird in the tree

[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, that's a bird in the tree. It's not going to be an alien

[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_05]: so

[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Right stuff like that always irritates me, but it does but you got to realize the

[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Our species doesn't want to recognize other species

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's just get it out there. We don't want to think there is another life form

[00:07:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Other than us and I can tell you that for a fact because I've done enough

[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Festivals and symposiums and stuff to know people will come, you know

[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_00]: I've had people come up to me and tell me that there is no such thing that we're yet. We're the only ones

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And these are usually you know, you're we do live in a Bible Belt

[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_00]: So these are usually people that are very religious and think that we're it and that's all so

[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they don't want to think there's anything else so they're gonna try to rational it out rationalize it out as

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_00]: something else

[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I get that I get that I

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Kind of did the same thing on my own

[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_05]: Stuff so I get that aspect of it too like everyone tries to find the rational explanation

[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_05]: But sometimes those rational explanations make no sense compared to the unexplainable

[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_00]: So well the unexplainable is just more fun

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_05]: I guess it's more interesting people like to hear the

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_00]: It'd be a boring world if we didn't have such things going on, you know, it really would be yeah

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Well

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_05]: If you are ready you can dive on into it. All right. Well, let's get into this

[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_00]: As I said earlier

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_00]: We didn't know about this parents kept it quiet until one day

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Back in 1969 it was summertime, it was hot of course hot summer in Kentucky

[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_00]: It was a Sunday afternoon and

[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Me and my siblings were sitting in the living room watching

[00:09:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Sunday afternoon cartoons my mom and dad were in the back bedroom with the new baby and

[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_00]: There was a knock at the door why I answered the door because I was the oldest one sitting there watching the cartoons

[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And there was this man woman standing there. They were both dressed like they just come from church

[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_00]: And asked to speak to my dad so okay, so I ran to the back where my mom and dad was total somebody's

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Up here wanting to talk to you

[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_00]: So they met at the front door and

[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_00]: The man told my dad said mr. Sutton we want to talk to you about the green man

[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_00]: well, I was eight years old and

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_00]: I was already loving horror movies

[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Sci-fi just whatever you know back then you could catch on the old black and white TV

[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_00]: And so when he said green man my little ears perked up and I thought hmm. What are we got here?

[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_00]: so anyway, my mom dad looked at each other and I could tell my dad just

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_00]: changed and

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_00]: They said okay come on in and they thought well they're gonna find out sometime

[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Today is as good as any

[00:10:26] [SPEAKER_00]: So everybody sat down as kids sat on the floor and my dad started telling this incredible story

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_00]: And it happened

[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Kelly Kentucky

[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_00]: 1955 August 21st the day that

[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_00]: My family will never forget

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_00]: That weekend it happened on my grandmother's farm miss glinny Langford

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_00]: She was a widower

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, she was a widow not a widow or she was a widow and she lived there with

[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Her three small children which were 12 10 and 7 at the time and my uncle JC and anti-lean stayed there with her

[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_00]: and

[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_00]: occasionally

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_00]: I lean's brother opi Baker would be there and apparently that Sunday evening when this all occurred he happened to be there

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_00]: well

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_00]: along came my dad

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_00]: His first wife Vera and their friends Billy Ray and June Taylor

[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_00]: They were stationed in Evansville, Indiana at the time because they worked with a carnival

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they were so close to home. They were like a couple hours away

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_00]: So they were able to get away from the carnival for a few days and

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Come back home and visit and you know just relax and get some go home cooking and just get away from the carnival life for a few days

[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Well Sunday afternoon well Sunday evening June

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Sunday evening August 21st

[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_00]: They were all sitting around this was gonna be their last night there because my dad and them had to get back to work

[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_00]: My dad's name was Elmer Sutton. Of course his nickname lucky

[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_00]: So they were all sitting around and it was hot like I said it had been a dry month and

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Billy Ray decided to go out to the well to get some water. They did not have plumbing in the house

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_00]: They did have electricity. Let me make that clear. They did have that

[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_00]: So he went out into the well as he's standing there getting the water out

[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_00]: He heard something

[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_00]: He looked up toward the sky where he heard this noise and low and behold

[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Going across the sky was something oval

[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_00]: In shape silver color and had all of the colors of the rainbow flowing behind it

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, he didn't know what it was and it kind of frightened him. So he took off running to the house

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Slam the door behind him. Well, this caught everyone's attention. They stopped what they were doing looked at him

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_00]: And his wife asked him June asked him well Billy Ray, what's wrong with you?

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_00]: And he told her he said there's something out here

[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, the first thing they're thinking the first thing my dad is thinking well Billy Ray went out there

[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_00]: concocted this crazy story to you know get the girls going and you know

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_00]: just make their last night there crazy and

[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_00]: He just kept on he wouldn't stop and so my dad finally told him fine Billy Ray

[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's go back out where you were you show me what you saw

[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Of course while they were in the house everybody was trying to reason with him and telling that it was either a shooting star or

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_00]: A meteor shower because they had been having meteor showers that month, but Billy Ray told him says no

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Know what those looked like it was none of those things

[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, they headed out to the well. He pointed towards sky told my dad again what he had saw

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_00]: and

[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_00]: He looked and he's like there's nothing out here

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_00]: And he says sure it wouldn't a shooting star or maybe your meteor shower

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Billy Ray told him says lucky. No, it was neither of those

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_00]: None, I know what those look like

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_00]: And he told him he's ill listen. There's nothing here

[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's go back in the house enjoy our last night here because we got to go back to work tomorrow

[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_00]: So he agreed and they headed toward the house as they were heading toward the house

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Though how dog come running by and

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Tell touch ears down print straight under the house

[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_00]: My dad thought nothing of it. He thought well, he just got himself in trouble

[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe got into a beehive or something and so they kept walking and

[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Right before they got into the house along the back where the woods were behind the house

[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_00]: They saw this little figure

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_00]: It was around three and a half foot tall

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Had a big round head big round glowing eyes huge ears

[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Arms were down almost touching the ground and it floated on top of the ground its legs were not moving. It was floating

[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they didn't know what this was nobody would know we wouldn't know so they take running off into the house

[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Slam the door behind them. Well, of course gets everybody's attention. Well, what's wrong with you too? They ask

[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_00]: And my dad told them there is

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Something out here. I don't know what it is, but there's something out here and my grandmother told them said

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Elmer y'all need to just stop I gotta get these kids in bed and you are not helping any

[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_00]: And he told him he says mom. There is something out here. I saw him on us

[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_00]: And she just you know puffed it off and just went on and everybody started back to doing what they were doing

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_00]: and laughing at the man and they thought well

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Billy Ray thing got lucky out there to

[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Agree with his little plan to try to scare the girls because you know, they were only in their early 20s

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Billy Ray's wife was only 18 or 19. So that was their thought, you know, they're just trying to cook up something to scare the girls

[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, my grandmother thought differently

[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_00]: When one grabbed the rifle and one grabbed the shotgun when I went to the front door and one went to the back

[00:16:28] [SPEAKER_00]: And she thought

[00:16:30] [SPEAKER_00]: This is getting serious

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_00]: So she decides to go to the back door where Billy Ray is

[00:16:37] [SPEAKER_00]: She goes back back there on the porch and squats down the side and she says Billy Ray. What did you see?

[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_00]: And he told her he said miss glinney. I don't know what it was

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_00]: But I hope it's something you never have to see

[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_00]: So they sit there in silence they could hear the banter going on in the house the kids and the others talking

[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_00]: And lo and behold along the corner of the house where my grandmother was sitting

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_00]: There come one. She saw it face to face. She screams

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_00]: It falls to the floor and everybody comes running and she tells on says I just saw it

[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_00]: There is something out here. There really really is about that time a shot rings out in the front of the house

[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_00]: they take off

[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Jace Michael JC shot one through the front window

[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, Billy Ray he decides to run out the front door and where he is standing is a little stoop

[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_00]: That goes over the door and as he's standing there

[00:17:40] [SPEAKER_00]: They see a hand come down to try to grab his hair

[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_00]: well my

[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Antilene grabs in and

[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Pulls him in the house and my dad runs out turns toward the roof there and shoots at it

[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, of course, he's hit he hit it. These are country boys. They could shoot practically by the time they could walk

[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Someone screams. There's one in the big tree

[00:18:07] [SPEAKER_00]: He turns around because I got these huge maple trees in the front yard. Sure. I once sitting on the big limb

[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, ain't shoot city hits it if it just kind of

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Floats to the ground hits the ground rose goes away

[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_00]: By the time it's all said they have shot one off the back fence

[00:18:28] [SPEAKER_00]: They're shooting them away from the house and this is a constant

[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, the kids are scared. They're screaming and crying the women are screaming and crying June is really about to lose it and

[00:18:40] [SPEAKER_00]: They don't know what to do because these things are coming back

[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_00]: They're not dying and

[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_00]: My dad always said he thought it was three or four of them

[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_00]: I know in some accounts to read it was like 11 or 12, but he says no no

[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_00]: It was never that many. It was the same ones coming back

[00:19:00] [SPEAKER_00]: So he tries to calm the family down. He tells him he says listen. We're gonna get help

[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I said

[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_00]: We can we're gonna run in those trucks. We're gonna head to Hopkinsville Hopkinsville was like seven miles down road

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_00]: We'll get help. We'll go to the police department

[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_00]: and so

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_00]: They sat there and he gets everybody quiet and they're trying to listen to see if anything's happening and

[00:19:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Lo and behold, they can hear one going across the tin roof

[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_00]: They can hear its little nails clacking like it's doing it on purpose along the roof

[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, this sends kids crying is screaming again. The women are screaming and crying

[00:19:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Vera asks my dad. What are we gonna do? And he says listen just just calm it down

[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_00]: He says we're gonna get to Hopkinsville. We're going to get help

[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_00]: So he gets everybody quiet again, and they're listening. They don't hear nothing. They don't see anything

[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_00]: And he says let's go so they run jump in the trucks and take off to Hopkinsville

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Keeping their eyes behind them the whole way afraid these things are gonna follow them

[00:20:12] [SPEAKER_00]: They get to Hopkinsville and you've got 11 people from the age of 7 to 50

[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Running in on this one little officer in the middle of the night because this was 1950s

[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_00]: You know one officer on duty was it

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_00]: They're all trying to tell the guy

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Listen, we just had an incident at her farm and they're trying to tell what it was and he's trying to understand

[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_00]: They're all trying to talk the same time

[00:20:40] [SPEAKER_00]: And he says listen he says you're trying to tell me you've had little man attack your farm

[00:20:46] [SPEAKER_00]: And my dad told him says you're not understanding what we're trying to tell you

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_00]: He says

[00:20:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Listen, let me call the chief so he gets chief Russell Ringel on the phone and tells them what's going on

[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And he tells him listen keep them there try to keep them calm. I'm on the way

[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_00]: He says call for Campbell which for Campbell army base is like

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_00]: 10 miles from Hopkinsville

[00:21:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Caravan of vehicles going out to little bit of Kelly in the middle of the night back in the 1950s

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_00]: There was only like a population of 50 and they were sparse little farms just

[00:21:36] [SPEAKER_00]: around there

[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_00]: So when they get out there, it's pitch black dark. Of course, there's no lights and

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_00]: They're pulling up in their driveway and they

[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Feel like something's happened. It's eerie feeling it. It's just not right

[00:21:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Plus on top of that you've got shotgun or rifle shells all over the place. They're all over the ground

[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_00]: They're all over the inside of the house. They're everywhere

[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_00]: As they're pulling up the car that had some police officers in it did notice a glowing

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_00]: substance on the back fence

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Where they had shot one so the first thing they did as soon as they got out of the car was run to that that substance

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_00]: But as they got up to it the globe stopped

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_00]: So they thought well, you know

[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Nothing here we guess but they didn't notice when they'd walk away from it or get a distance away

[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_00]: It would glow

[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_00]: So they never understood that

[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_00]: The chief and all of them searched the premises they couldn't find anything they search they looked under the house

[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_00]: They looked everywhere. They couldn't find anything

[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Finally the chief went to my grandmother and said miss glinnie. I'm so sorry, but there's nothing here

[00:22:54] [SPEAKER_00]: He says there's nothing we can do says well, we got to go back and

[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Because there was no blood no bodies nothing no fur no feathers nothing

[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_00]: So they left and I left my grandmother and others to get through the night with what just happened once again, so

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_00]: My grandmother

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Got the kids finally settled down got them to sleep and she went to lay down

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_00]: She got in her bed and my dad got in the rocking chair of a cider with shotgun across his lap and he sat there with her

[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they were exhausted mentally and physically exhausted

[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_00]: And she opens her eyes and lo and behold she thinks she sees one at the window again

[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, she thinks well, I'm just tired. I'm just tired so she closes her eyes

[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_00]: She opens them again and little thing is still standing there

[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_00]: She closes them she thinks one more time opens them the third time

[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_00]: It's still there and she screams that my dad they're back

[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_00]: And so they start shooting again and they keep these little beings out of the house the rest of the night until morning

[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_00]: When morning hit and the sun came up they left

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Why they don't know

[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_00]: The only thing they could figure was that the little eyes couldn't take the sunlight. That's the only thing they could figure

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_00]: My dad set family down and told him says listen

[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Nothing can come of this nothing good at all can come of this. He says we're gonna forget it

[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_00]: We're not gonna talk about it. He said I heard them last night. They were out there laughing at us

[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_00]: So just let it go

[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_00]: so

[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_00]: some of the men left for a little while to go do something and

[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_00]: The women were there by themselves with kids and lo and behold

[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_00]: We had the people invasion people were coming from everywhere word had gotten out

[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_00]: that

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Little men had come to Kelly

[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_00]: So you had people camping out in the yard want to see the little men

[00:25:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Thinking they would come back. They were walking through the house. They were taking souvenirs picking up stuff out of the yard doing everything

[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_00]: My grandmother told one of the well my grandmother told my dad, you know

[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_00]: They're they're gonna rob us blind. I don't have anything left

[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_00]: And so he went and talked to one of the police officers

[00:25:27] [SPEAKER_00]: And at the time he was able to get all the people to leave

[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_00]: But of course the officers couldn't stay there all the time

[00:25:33] [SPEAKER_00]: So once they were gone the people would come back and it would start all over again

[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, my grandmother didn't know what to do

[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_00]: That morning it happened. I did find out later that

[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Um

[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Fort Campbell did sense some in down and they did do a grid search

[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_00]: But my grandmother didn't know what to do

[00:25:56] [SPEAKER_00]: She was scared to death because my dad Billy Ray had to go back to work

[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_00]: She was gonna be left there with the three kids

[00:26:03] [SPEAKER_00]: My uncle JC and anti-ling

[00:26:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Every once in a while OP would be there, but that would be it could they handle this again

[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_00]: If it were to happen she did not know

[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_00]: She sold the farm within two weeks and moved to Hopkinsville into an apartment complex. So did

[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_00]: JC and I lean

[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_00]: They felt safety in numbers

[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Get away from that farm get away from being isolated and that's what they did and

[00:26:35] [SPEAKER_00]: That's my family story and that's what happened

[00:26:41] [SPEAKER_05]: How long was it before they actually started talking about it with you guys

[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they didn't that's just it like I said

[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_00]: They didn't talk about to anybody. Um, you know people were coming from everywhere wanting to talk to my grandmother, of course

[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Nobody really got to talk to my dad and Billy Ray very much because they had to leave, you know, they talked to a few people

[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_00]: They were able to

[00:27:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Sit down with somebody and make the drawings of the little beings

[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Um

[00:27:14] [SPEAKER_00]: But years later in the 70s my grandmother did get with Isabelle Davis and was able to talk to her and tell her everything

[00:27:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And there is Isabelle put out a really good

[00:27:26] [SPEAKER_00]: book

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_00]: About the whole incident with pictures and drawings and everything

[00:27:32] [SPEAKER_00]: But that's basically the only real person besides, you know, the people that were showing up back then

[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Of course, you had people coming from everywhere, you know Madisonville Evansville. I mean people even from California

[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Coming down trying to get the story

[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_00]: You know over the years

[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Like the people that came that day in 1969 want to talk to my dad the first time we heard it

[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Um

[00:28:00] [SPEAKER_00]: That would happen every once in a while. That's what they were there for they were wanting to write a book

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, it got to where my dad would just refuse over the years, you know, right before he passed away

[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_00]: He had some people from Germany contacting him

[00:28:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Wanting to speak to him about that they were even going to bring him over to Germany instead of them coming here

[00:28:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And he just never right refused. It was

[00:28:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it was just too much for him

[00:28:29] [SPEAKER_00]: It it frightened him death. I mean my uncle JC was a Korean war vet

[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_00]: and this

[00:28:37] [SPEAKER_00]: incident affected him more than him going over there to war

[00:28:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Because these little beings were something that like I said, these were country boys

[00:28:47] [SPEAKER_00]: They were hitting these things with shotguns and rifles and they were not dying. They were bouncing back up and coming back

[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_00]: My little my my aunt Mary who was seven at the time. She's a little bitty thing little bitty today

[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_00]: And these things were probably as big as she was if not bigger and they you know, it's terrifying

[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, they will not talk about it the three kids, you know, my my uncle Lonnie who is now 80

[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_00]: He used to talk about it

[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_00]: But now he won't and I believe it's because

[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, his mind's gotten slower and I think he's afraid he'll get things wrong and he doesn't want to

[00:29:30] [SPEAKER_00]: The two other kids who were 10 and seven

[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_00]: My uncle charlton and aunt Mary

[00:29:36] [SPEAKER_00]: They will not talk about it. It's like they blockaded out of their minds

[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_00]: But like I said, this was terrifying

[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Um if it happened to any of us today

[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_00]: It would be terrifying because you just don't know

[00:29:51] [SPEAKER_00]: When you're meeting up with something that you're shooting at and hitting and it ain't dying

[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_00]: That's terrifying

[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_00]: And uh the following week I have to put this in there the following week after

[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_00]: We heard the story my dad decided to take us to kelly

[00:30:10] [SPEAKER_00]: And show us where it all happened

[00:30:13] [SPEAKER_00]: So we pull up there the old house is still standing. It's solid in but it's still there

[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_00]: The well is still there. It's still there today

[00:30:23] [SPEAKER_00]: And we see all that and then he walked his way in the backfield back in the woods

[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_00]: And lo and behold, I'll never forget it

[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_00]: There was this big round

[00:30:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Spot in the grass that was it it was still dead but nothing growing there

[00:30:43] [SPEAKER_00]: And this was 69 when we went to see this and that happened in 55 and there's still no grass growing there

[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_00]: I've had people come up and tell me that lived in kelly over the years saying telling me that when they were kids

[00:30:59] [SPEAKER_00]: They would walk over that spot going hunting back in there

[00:31:04] [SPEAKER_00]: So there's several people that have actually seen that spot

[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_00]: and uh

[00:31:12] [SPEAKER_00]: You know that just gave it more

[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Credence, you know that it happened that something happened to this family that night

[00:31:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Now why did this little spaceship land in kelly? We don't know

[00:31:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Well never though because they're they're not here to tell us

[00:31:30] [SPEAKER_00]: but

[00:31:32] [SPEAKER_00]: After the fact there was a lot of people that came forward and talked about seeing lights in the sky that day hearing noises

[00:31:45] [SPEAKER_00]: If you look at a map and you see kelly you will see kelly you will see

[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Hopkinsville you will see fort campbell and you will see clark'sville

[00:31:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, people were seeing lights

[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Clarksville fort campbell, hopkinsville all the way to kelly

[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_00]: So there were lights and things being seen that night that people didn't know what they were but

[00:32:10] [SPEAKER_00]: You got to remember we got a four cambell army base sitting there

[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_00]: So in the back of people's minds the way they can get rid of this is as four cambell

[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_00]: They're doing something tonight

[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_00]: You know that it's the same way today if we see you know

[00:32:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Where we live we're close to fort nox

[00:32:36] [SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I believe when people see

[00:32:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Funny lights in the sky they do the same thing as they do down at fort campbell or any military base

[00:32:49] [SPEAKER_00]: I was just them doing night maneuvers

[00:32:52] [SPEAKER_00]: They're trying something new out. You know, that's how we get rid of that

[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_00]: But yes, there was a lot of things seen and heard during the day that day at sunday

[00:33:03] [SPEAKER_00]: And that night

[00:33:08] [SPEAKER_00]: So it was crazy

[00:33:10] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah

[00:33:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Did they I know you mentioned the the craft and everything but

[00:33:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Did they all believe they were

[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Aliens because I'm

[00:33:21] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm trying to come up with the idea where everyone says Kentucky goblins. So where did the whole goblin concept come up?

[00:33:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, the goblin concept came from my grandmother who thought that

[00:33:31] [SPEAKER_00]: It was some kind of being or goblin that that the devil had brought forth

[00:33:37] [SPEAKER_00]: My grandmother was real religious

[00:33:40] [SPEAKER_00]: She had been to church that night

[00:33:43] [SPEAKER_00]: and

[00:33:44] [SPEAKER_00]: So that was her first thought that these are little beings that the devil had brought forth

[00:33:49] [SPEAKER_00]: To bring on them for some reason

[00:33:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Um goblins and so they were known as goblins and I love the hopkins hill goblin thing

[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I like the kelly green man and let me tell you this little fact

[00:34:02] [SPEAKER_00]: The color kelly green derives from the kelly green man

[00:34:07] [SPEAKER_00]: So when you hear kelly green just remember

[00:34:09] [SPEAKER_00]: kelly green man brought that one

[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, it was later decided that they were probably extraterrestrial because

[00:34:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Of the lights and everything that had been seen

[00:34:23] [SPEAKER_00]: That evening

[00:34:26] [SPEAKER_00]: And you know the fact that and you will never hear this because this was

[00:34:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Brought forth later. Well as a matter of fact somebody actually told me this that

[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Um lived there at the time and seen this happen

[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_00]: There was a grid

[00:34:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Military grid they searched the property the land the fields if that my grandmother had like 27 acres

[00:34:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Something was found

[00:35:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Something was put under somebody's shirt and something was put in the back of a truck and that truck took off

[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Now we'll never know what it was

[00:35:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Because they're not going to let us know what it was

[00:35:14] [SPEAKER_00]: But something apparently was found that morning

[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, the

[00:35:22] [SPEAKER_05]: The truth of that will probably never be brought out just because

[00:35:26] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't think they ever really sent any sort of real information

[00:35:29] [SPEAKER_00]: No, and you know, it's like I try to explain to people too. They never did proper protocol

[00:35:40] [SPEAKER_00]: They never took samples of anything

[00:35:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know people contaminated it because they came in, you know start setting up their tents and stuff wanting to wait for them to come back

[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_00]: They just finally put it to bed by saying that

[00:35:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they were just a bunch of uneducated hillbillies

[00:36:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Bigger part but no they weren't my dad was a very intelligent man. He could do anything and uh

[00:36:18] [SPEAKER_00]: My grandmother wasn't stupid either, you know, like I said

[00:36:22] [SPEAKER_00]: JC he was a Korean war vet and this terrified him

[00:36:26] [SPEAKER_00]: beyond belief

[00:36:27] [SPEAKER_00]: He couldn't even help him job the rest of his life because this was just something that

[00:36:32] [SPEAKER_00]: I think it stated in the back of their mind that these things were going to come back

[00:36:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Because they didn't get what they wanted the first time. So, you know, why wouldn't they be back?

[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_00]: and um

[00:36:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll try to tell people too. You know, my daddy was a small man

[00:36:49] [SPEAKER_00]: But there was two things that terrified him

[00:36:52] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean he would fight a bear for what he believed in

[00:36:56] [SPEAKER_00]: but two things terrified him and that was tornadoes because he had been in a tornado

[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_00]: And the goblins the green men

[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Because I think

[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_00]: They all thought to a certain extent that these things

[00:37:13] [SPEAKER_00]: left

[00:37:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Unresolved, you know that

[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Why were they there?

[00:37:21] [SPEAKER_00]: And why were they so persistent, you know trying to

[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Sure, they left that little while while all the other people were there, but then they came right back

[00:37:37] [SPEAKER_00]: That fear was always there and if you were lucky enough to get my dad to talk about it

[00:37:44] [SPEAKER_00]: You could tell he was terrified. I mean the color would leave his face. I mean it was like

[00:37:53] [SPEAKER_00]: You know just telling a terrifying story something that you've been through like if you had been through a tornado, you know

[00:37:59] [SPEAKER_00]: That's terrifying

[00:38:01] [SPEAKER_00]: that they went through

[00:38:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Some kind of encounter that night and it lasted all night long

[00:38:11] [SPEAKER_00]: They didn't know if they were going to live or die. Let's let's be honest here because these things

[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_00]: We're trying to get in now

[00:38:19] [SPEAKER_00]: my grandmother like I said was really religious

[00:38:23] [SPEAKER_00]: And she would give people the benefit of the doubt and

[00:38:29] [SPEAKER_00]: She tried to tell my dad well, maybe something's wrong with them. Maybe they need help

[00:38:35] [SPEAKER_00]: But that was unrealistic

[00:38:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And it was very unrealistic to my dad because you know, he was a country boy and it was like

[00:38:43] [SPEAKER_00]: She first and asked questions later

[00:38:46] [SPEAKER_00]: And he tried to tell my grandmother. We don't know what these are

[00:38:51] [SPEAKER_00]: We're not gonna let them in the house

[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_00]: you know being the the

[00:38:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Good-hearted person she was

[00:38:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, there's a lot people don't understand a lot went on that night

[00:39:04] [SPEAKER_00]: You know as far as the family dynamic was concerned and what happened

[00:39:09] [SPEAKER_00]: A lot went on with that family that night

[00:39:13] [SPEAKER_00]: and

[00:39:14] [SPEAKER_00]: This is terrifying, you know, I was talking to you earlier about me not liking to

[00:39:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Watch or listen to podcasts or watch anything extraterrestrial because to me it's terrifying

[00:39:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Because after this incident happened, let me tell you

[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, I was eight years old when this happened and I loved

[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Saifah and horror but when I heard this story that

[00:39:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Blew the sci-fi down the tubes for a while because I was terrified. I thought these things were going to come back

[00:39:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Those shades and curtains and doors and windows were closed because I was afraid these things were going to come back

[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_00]: And going to looking in the windows at us, you know

[00:40:07] [SPEAKER_00]: And the terrifying thing that was at the time we lived close to four Campbell

[00:40:15] [SPEAKER_00]: and

[00:40:17] [SPEAKER_00]: At night time they would send up the flares

[00:40:21] [SPEAKER_00]: And I would see those flares and it would be like, oh man, you know, it was terrifying

[00:40:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Just everything was terrifying anymore when the night came even today. I mean

[00:40:35] [SPEAKER_00]: If we're out and about at night time, I always keep my eye on the sky

[00:40:40] [SPEAKER_00]: because

[00:40:42] [SPEAKER_00]: It's it's terrifying, you know, have I seen lights at night? I can't explain you darn right. I have I've seen several different

[00:40:50] [SPEAKER_00]: things that

[00:40:52] [SPEAKER_00]: were unexplainable

[00:40:54] [SPEAKER_00]: That

[00:40:56] [SPEAKER_00]: We're flying across the sky that you roll your winded down when you're driving and you can't hear a sound

[00:41:02] [SPEAKER_00]: I've seen the ones that are triangular that has the three lights in each corner

[00:41:07] [SPEAKER_00]: You know

[00:41:09] [SPEAKER_00]: When I was like 12 years old

[00:41:11] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, like I said, I used to make sure everything was shut tight at night

[00:41:18] [SPEAKER_00]: I remember one night when I was going to bed, of course, then curtains were closed super tight

[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_00]: You couldn't see a light through them suckers

[00:41:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Well for some crazy reason, I don't know why but something possessed me to open up the curtains and look out

[00:41:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Well going across the sky was this square and I mean square object with lights around it

[00:41:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Now what in the devil made me open that curtain at night when I'd never done it before

[00:41:51] [SPEAKER_00]: And there lawn behold there was something going across the sky

[00:41:55] [SPEAKER_00]: It didn't make any sense

[00:41:58] [SPEAKER_00]: So yes, it's terrifying to me to think about other beings out there. Do I think there are other beings?

[00:42:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Heck yeah, I think there are the beings. I don't think we're the only thing

[00:42:11] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, you've got to be crazy to think we're the only thing here when there are billions

[00:42:20] [SPEAKER_00]: man, you know just

[00:42:22] [SPEAKER_00]: We'll never know what's out there

[00:42:25] [SPEAKER_00]: It's so massive and to to believe we're it that's just absolutely ludicrous

[00:42:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Basically, I think they're saying concept of space whatever it is

[00:42:41] [SPEAKER_05]: I feel like over 50 maybe 60 something billion light years across

[00:42:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Like the entire width of the universe

[00:42:51] [SPEAKER_05]: so

[00:42:52] [SPEAKER_05]: And each there was like

[00:42:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Like trillions of

[00:44:06] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, we don't even know what's in our own planet or on our own planet right exactly

[00:45:02] [SPEAKER_05]: Doing a podcast. I literally I think I sent it to you a little bit ago that the photo I have one of my friends

[00:45:09] [SPEAKER_05]: The Kentucky goblin I have a sticker that he drew

[00:45:12] [SPEAKER_05]: I have the artwork he drew but like that is one of the things

[00:45:16] [SPEAKER_00]: You have to like that stuff. I've got all kinds of stuff like that too time you go to something that that there's always somebody selling

[00:45:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, always so, you know, you've got to get some

[00:45:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Got to but yeah my walls are full of stuff

[00:45:35] [SPEAKER_00]: But in my office that uh

[00:45:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, it's a cool story. I mean people really love it

[00:45:43] [SPEAKER_00]: It's like I said, it's wild widely known

[00:45:48] [SPEAKER_00]: And ufologists call it the granddaddy of UFO stories, you know, you just don't hear this happening to other people

[00:45:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Saw online that the u.s. Military had ruled it a hoax, but I was thinking about this

[00:46:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Why would your family just start shooting up their house?

[00:46:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Why

[00:46:13] [SPEAKER_05]: What was the end goal of that? Oh, we're gonna shoot our house up and then say the aliens came down here

[00:46:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's another thing. Yeah people

[00:46:21] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, why would they shoot up the house because you know, my grandmother couldn't afford to have her house

[00:46:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Fixed back, you know, she was a well. She didn't have the money to do all that

[00:46:33] [SPEAKER_00]: And uh, that yeah, that's what

[00:46:36] [SPEAKER_00]: See people just don't put two and two together and understand the situation here

[00:46:40] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, the house was shot up. I mean

[00:46:46] [SPEAKER_00]: That was you don't do that when you can't afford to have it fixed, you know, that's your home

[00:46:52] [SPEAKER_00]: That's all she had was that 27 acres and that that little

[00:46:57] [SPEAKER_00]: wooden house

[00:46:59] [SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, she wouldn't have shot her home up and like I said, she was so religious

[00:47:06] [SPEAKER_00]: She would not tell a lie of her life dependent on it

[00:47:10] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's one thing that she the chief, you know

[00:47:15] [SPEAKER_00]: How heartedly believed it a lot of people believed it simply because

[00:47:18] [SPEAKER_00]: The chief Russell Greenwald had an incident happened to him a couple of years before that

[00:47:24] [SPEAKER_00]: and one of the officers actually

[00:47:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Had seen

[00:47:33] [SPEAKER_00]: The some kind of

[00:47:36] [SPEAKER_00]: craft also like three different crafts

[00:47:40] [SPEAKER_00]: And so you had people that whole heartedly believed them because well one thing of who they were like I said my grandmother who she was

[00:47:49] [SPEAKER_00]: and

[00:47:50] [SPEAKER_00]: people around there, you know

[00:47:53] [SPEAKER_00]: That lived in Kelly believed it because they heard what was going on that night. I mean

[00:47:58] [SPEAKER_00]: One of the farmers that lived

[00:48:01] [SPEAKER_00]: in the back

[00:48:03] [SPEAKER_00]: of

[00:48:04] [SPEAKER_00]: My grandmother's place, you know, he heard a commotion going on and he thought something had happened

[00:48:09] [SPEAKER_00]: And maybe some of the animals have gotten out or something

[00:48:12] [SPEAKER_00]: So he was putting his boots on and grabbing a lantern. He was fixing head that direction

[00:48:19] [SPEAKER_00]: And then he started hearing the gunshots

[00:48:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's when he decided no, no, I'm not going to get shot out here

[00:48:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Trying to save pig or something. So, you know

[00:48:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, but yeah, the neighbors around there

[00:48:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Seen things and heard things that night

[00:48:37] [SPEAKER_00]: You know one of the neighborhood kids was outside

[00:48:40] [SPEAKER_00]: with one of his other friends working on a bicycle

[00:48:44] [SPEAKER_00]: And

[00:48:45] [SPEAKER_00]: single lights go across the sky that night

[00:48:48] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, there were several people that whole heartedly believed it my mama

[00:48:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Who was married to her first husband? Like I said had seven kids

[00:48:56] [SPEAKER_00]: They lived in Kelly at the time. She said they lived down there in the holler

[00:49:01] [SPEAKER_00]: The she said it was terrifying

[00:49:04] [SPEAKER_00]: She said everybody around there that lived there was terrified of these things coming back

[00:49:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Because they believe

[00:49:13] [SPEAKER_00]: What these people were saying and you don't take 11 people are not going to be running in

[00:49:21] [SPEAKER_00]: To the police station in the middle of the night with a crazy story

[00:49:26] [SPEAKER_00]: You know like this

[00:49:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Something happened to that family

[00:49:32] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I try to make people realize whether it be extra-trest drill whether it be paranormal whatever it was

[00:49:39] [SPEAKER_00]: They had some kind of encounter with a being or beings that night

[00:49:47] [SPEAKER_00]: They just did

[00:49:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, there's uh, I don't know how to say it but like basically

[00:49:58] [SPEAKER_05]: There's no way

[00:50:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Everyone could have been again. I'm going off of what people trying to discredit it with there's no way everyone could have been

[00:50:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Group hallucinating that makes no sense

[00:50:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Right, there's no way the everyone had been drinking and they're all drunk and having the same exact

[00:50:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Visions because my grandmother did not allow drinking in her house around her three children. Nope

[00:50:22] [SPEAKER_05]: There's just so many different little things that people will try and toss at it to discredit it

[00:50:27] [SPEAKER_05]: But at the same time it's like it doesn't add up

[00:50:29] [SPEAKER_05]: And the only thing that does make sense is they actually experience something and then I mentioned earlier people say

[00:50:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, there was owls out there

[00:50:37] [SPEAKER_05]: They were shooting at owls

[00:50:40] [SPEAKER_05]: I would hope people would know the difference between an owl and something else because

[00:50:46] [SPEAKER_00]: You'll see they would have been dead owls. Yeah

[00:50:49] [SPEAKER_05]: If they were shooting they they literally were shooting through the walls or shot through the door. They shot through the ceiling

[00:50:54] [SPEAKER_05]: They would have been dead. So yeah, something would have been there would have been blood somewhere

[00:50:58] [SPEAKER_05]: There'd been a dead owl or a dead whatever. Well that 20 gauge shotgun would kill

[00:51:04] [SPEAKER_00]: More than one if there had been that you know, and I heard a cat theory that it was cats

[00:51:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it would have definitely killed a cat but

[00:51:11] [SPEAKER_00]: They weren't they weren't owls. They weren't monkeys. It was a monkey theory. They weren't monkeys. They'd be dead too

[00:51:18] [SPEAKER_00]: um

[00:51:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, none of it makes any sort of sense

[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_05]: So to me it's always just been one of those things like what else could it have possibly been

[00:51:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly

[00:51:29] [SPEAKER_05]: I know there's been a there's been a show that came out

[00:51:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Within the last on how many years it was called heliur and they really focused on the whole goblin aspect

[00:51:38] [SPEAKER_00]: well, yeah

[00:51:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, dana and greg newkirk. Yes, I know them they contacted me when all this started

[00:51:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Years before before they started heliur

[00:51:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Because greg was wanting to talk to me about the whole situation because

[00:51:56] [SPEAKER_00]: They had had somebody contact them up in eastern kentucky that

[00:52:03] [SPEAKER_00]: They

[00:52:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Had little beings that were coming out at night and stealing stuff. They even stole their bog

[00:52:10] [SPEAKER_00]: and

[00:52:12] [SPEAKER_00]: There was caves on the land and the father would go back to the caves and find their stuff

[00:52:18] [SPEAKER_00]: and the

[00:52:19] [SPEAKER_00]: kids would

[00:52:20] [SPEAKER_00]: At first the father and the mother was just letting it just slide because the kids were telling them that

[00:52:26] [SPEAKER_00]: There was little bald children outside at night. They were coming up to their window

[00:52:30] [SPEAKER_00]: And they thought all that, you know, they're just telling little stories

[00:52:33] [SPEAKER_00]: But then stuff started disappearing and they kept telling there's little bald children

[00:52:40] [SPEAKER_00]: And so yeah, greg got a hold of me. He wanted to talk to me about this whole thing tell me about this story and

[00:52:47] [SPEAKER_00]: He asked me he said do you think

[00:52:49] [SPEAKER_00]: That some of them could have been left

[00:52:52] [SPEAKER_00]: And they lived in the caves and you know because they lived in the caves. They got pale

[00:53:00] [SPEAKER_00]: They lost their ear big ears

[00:53:03] [SPEAKER_00]: And um, I said, I don't know it's possible. He asked me he says what are their caves in kelly?

[00:53:08] [SPEAKER_00]: And so I I did some calling around

[00:53:11] [SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, there's caves in kelly. This is kentucky. Kentucky ain't nothing but caves

[00:53:16] [SPEAKER_00]: My house is probably sitting on a cave

[00:53:19] [SPEAKER_00]: so, you know

[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's caves in kelly. So he's so he was trying to put two and two together

[00:53:26] [SPEAKER_00]: And think that

[00:53:28] [SPEAKER_00]: They left some of them

[00:53:31] [SPEAKER_00]: And they were living in the cave systems and they were going up, you know

[00:53:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Traveling through the caves maybe up to eastern Kentucky

[00:53:40] [SPEAKER_00]: In that they're they're here and around

[00:53:43] [SPEAKER_00]: And I said, well, you know, you know what anything's possible. I don't doubt nothing

[00:53:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And uh, so that's where that came from

[00:53:55] [SPEAKER_00]: The whole hillier thing that's where it came from

[00:53:59] [SPEAKER_05]: I haven't watched that show in

[00:54:02] [SPEAKER_05]: Several years. So I've been meaning to actually go back and do it

[00:54:05] [SPEAKER_05]: I've actually been thinking about trying to reach out to greg

[00:54:08] [SPEAKER_05]: And maybe interview him at some point, but that might be something down the road

[00:54:13] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah

[00:54:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, we watched the first season, but we never did get to the second season

[00:54:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I think they're doing a new one at some point

[00:54:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm sure they are

[00:54:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Sure they are

[00:54:27] [SPEAKER_00]: But they're good people

[00:54:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Greg's really nice. Dana's really nice. I mean we've

[00:54:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Gotten with them. They were trying to do some kind of other thing for us

[00:54:38] [SPEAKER_00]: How hillier thing come up and we met them down at cave city one time trying to start

[00:54:43] [SPEAKER_00]: They were trying to some kind of show or something. I don't remember what it was and it was

[00:54:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Want to use me as a

[00:54:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Thing to send in

[00:54:54] [SPEAKER_00]: To try to get this started and so we did this whole taping of this thing and yada yada yada

[00:54:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And but I never did go through I guess

[00:55:03] [SPEAKER_00]: But they've always got something

[00:55:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Going on
