[00:03:49] Absolutely. Thanks for having me on.

[00:03:51] Yeah, not a problem. You want to let the audience know a little bit about yourself?

[00:03:54] Yeah, absolutely. So my name is Barnaby Jones. I am a cryptozoologist and a paranormal researcher.

[00:04:01] I am the founder and lead investigator for cryptids, anomalies and the paranormal society.

[00:04:07] We are based out of Wisconsin. We're a team of about, on average, about 10 to 15 people that each one of us specializes in a different area from cryptids to paranormal.

[00:04:19] We have mediums and impasse on the team. And we go out and we investigate all different forms of the paranormal and cryptids and anomalies.

[00:04:31] And using this broad variety of people on our team, we're able to look at different situations and different creatures and stuff from a broad spectrum of viewpoints.

[00:04:44] And it allows us to take a look at things a lot more in depth than we normally would be able to.

[00:04:52] So we've been doing that for since 2019 Caps was founded and we do all kinds of videos on YouTube and we have a show on Paraflex and you can find us at wisconsincaps.com.

[00:05:31] I do. Absolutely.

[00:05:33] What led you on the path to where you're at now? Like what got you into this whole strange phenomenon like paranormal cryptids, all that stuff? What led you to want to look into it?

[00:05:44] I've always been interested in this stuff since an early age. I was doing things like this down all the way back to elementary school.

[00:05:52] I was interested in the paranormal and that I remember in elementary school around fifth grade, I was doing a research paper on El Chupacabra because that was big making all the news and the headlines at the time.

[00:06:07] And that was probably one of my first brushes with this.

[00:06:10] I did this. So I've been doing this ever since I was young and eventually I did a lot of paranormal research and some investigating that like most people do.

[00:06:23] And in 2012, I actually ended up owning and operated a Halloween haunted house attraction.

[00:06:29] And the haunted house attraction was in a haunted building.

[00:06:33] And we had several different encounters there in the building with shadow entities. We heard disembodied voices.

[00:06:43] We've heard like little children laughing.

[00:06:46] We've seen shadow people peeking out around the edges of corners and walls, hearing footsteps when no one was there.

[00:06:53] And this kind of all culminated to my probably my most memorable paranormal encounter.

[00:07:00] I was out there working on this attraction by myself one night and I was doing some scenic lighting in it.

[00:07:09] And I had a swamp scene with these six foot tall fake trees.

[00:07:16] And I'm in the scene and I notice one of the branches on the tree is just kind of lightly bobbing.

[00:07:22] And the walls in the attraction are all eight feet tall.

[00:07:25] So there's no wind, no air movement. It's really hot in there in the summer.

[00:07:30] And I'm like, why is that branch like moving like that?

[00:07:33] So on the ground in front of it, there's these about foot and a half Styrofoam dock floats.

[00:07:40] And they're stabbed full of all these ferns and plants and other things like that.

[00:07:46] And I get to just the other side of this from this tree.

[00:07:51] And the tree just starts violently shaking like somebody's got a hold of it just shaking it there.

[00:07:58] And I took a step back to see what was behind it, like shine my light back there because all the lights in the haunt are off right now because I'm working on the lighting.

[00:08:07] And the tree literally flew up and crossed over the Styrofoam dock float where I was standing and fell across the path.

[00:08:16] And that was that's been still to this day, my most intense paranormal experience.

[00:08:24] Now, has there been any way you tried to debunk that to see how it could have possibly had happened?

[00:08:30] Or is it just there was no way for it to fall or anything like that?

[00:08:34] I always try and rule out any sort of explainable situations.

[00:08:40] That's the skeptical side of me.

[00:08:43] I just want to make sure because when people are saying, oh, this and this and this, I'm like, well, did it fall?

[00:08:49] Obviously, there's something like that happened clearly.

[00:08:52] I always just look to see how it's possible if there's no other explanation than you can say it's paranormal.

[00:08:58] Absolutely.

[00:09:00] So as I said, I was there at night.

[00:09:03] It was like the middle of the night.

[00:09:04] Well, the reason I was there is because the building has skylights.

[00:09:08] And in the summer when we were working on all this, it's too light in there until like nine o'clock at night to do any lighting.

[00:09:15] So I had come back in the middle of the night when it was pitch black in there that I could adjust these little spotlights for the scenes and that.

[00:09:23] So we came or I came back the next day with more of my my crew and my team.

[00:09:29] And so we picked it up.

[00:09:32] And I don't know if you remember the old like we both wobbles toys and they have well, the tree has a like a cement base in it where it meets the fake pot that it's in.

[00:09:43] So it has a very heavy base and you can pull the

[00:09:57] thing over just like gently to the side, almost to a 45 degree angle and it would wobble right back to center and stay up.

[00:10:08] So whatever and then the other thing is, is it had to get up and over that styrofoam block that was on the floor.

[00:10:17] And like I said, that was about a foot and a half high.

[00:10:20] So whatever did this lifted that up over the top of the block and had enough power to pull it over.

[00:10:29] Now, we also had security cameras in the building and they're set up in a way to monitor the people that were coming through the attraction.

[00:10:39] So they weren't like set up to watch the, you know, the props and other things like that.

[00:10:43] But you can see that there's nobody that came in and out of that area.

[00:10:48] There's nobody else in the building at all.

[00:10:50] There was no animals or anything that had gotten in.

[00:10:53] There was nothing in that area of the attraction where I was at the time that it happened.

[00:10:59] So we went through all the bases trying to check it and just there was, there was nothing.

[00:11:05] I have no idea what happened or how that happened.

[00:11:09] Yeah, that's strange.

[00:11:10] I've never encountered anything like that to where I've had strange things happen here and there, but nothing to where I could 100% say, oh, that's paranormal.

[00:11:22] So I've never seen something fall or fly or anything.

[00:11:26] I've heard random noises and that, but again, that could be anything.

[00:11:30] So now that I've seen something fall, fly like that or whatever, that definitely made me probably not want to go back to that place.

[00:11:40] But that's just me.

[00:11:42] Well, like I said, that was the most intense thing that happened to me there.

[00:11:46] But I've had, you know, I've had probably about a hundred different actors through that building throughout the seasons and stuff.

[00:11:53] And they've, they've all not all of them, but most of the people have had some encounter of some sort in the building.

[00:12:03] But that was, that was where it all started kind of.

[00:12:07] And, you know, like I said, I'd always been interested in cryptids and other stuff.

[00:12:11] But like everybody, I thought that that was like, you know, out in Oregon, Washington, stuff like that, and not really here where I am in Wisconsin.

[00:12:22] And so I heard about this convention that was up in upper Michigan and I missed it the first two years, but they have this kind of not a museum, but this like touristy destination thing called the Hayden Adventure.

[00:12:38] H-Y-D-E-N.

[00:12:40] And what it is, is there was this 80 acre private property that was hunting land owned by Craig and Barb Salk.

[00:12:51] And they captured on their trail cameras in 2012 a series of three pictures.

[00:12:58] And the middle picture shows what some believe is a Bigfoot.

[00:13:02] So after, you know, some time and some thought, Craig actually sent that picture into Finding Bigfoot.

[00:13:08] Finding Bigfoot came out and did an episode on their property.

[00:13:11] It's the Super Youper episode.

[00:13:14] And people want to see where the picture was taken and the evidence and that.

[00:13:19] So they ended up opening up their property to the public as this like tourist spot for people to come see the evidence, share their stories.

[00:13:28] And so me and my mom had gone up there in 2019.

[00:13:34] And we met Craig and Barb and took the tour and heard all the evidence and stuff.

[00:13:40] And we started finding out that these creatures, Bigfoot, the Dog Man, other things are right here in Wisconsin.

[00:13:49] And Craig had talked about the convention that they ran, the Marinette Menominee Bigfoot Paranormal Convention.

[00:13:56] And he had had a author there by the name of Linda Godfrey, who had wrote all these books about the Beast of Bray Road and some of the other stuff that's going on right here in Wisconsin, because she's based out of Wisconsin.

[00:14:11] So when we left there, I started researching and reading some of her books, which led me down to Burlington, Wisconsin.

[00:14:20] And another author by the name of Mary Sutherland, who wrote this whole book called The Burlington Vortex about this wooded area down there and all the high strangeness that was going on in there.

[00:14:33] And so one night I was bored and had nothing else to do.

[00:14:38] So I called one of my friends named Derek, and he was into paranormal and stuff.

[00:14:44] And I said, man, there's this area down in southern Wisconsin, and it's got all this high strangeness, Bigfoot, paranormal, all this stuff.

[00:14:52] You want to take a drive down there and just kind of poke around and see.

[00:14:55] Instead of looking into one phenomenon at a time, I mean, this place supposedly has everything.

[00:15:02] So we went down there and we had gotten there just after dark.

[00:15:06] So long story short, and I didn't really want to go in the woods, not knowing the woods in the dark.

[00:15:14] So there's a gravel parking lot there.

[00:15:17] And we parked there and we just kind of sat in the car and listened and watched the sky and the woods and stuff and that.

[00:15:24] And we heard this thing coming through the woods.

[00:15:27] And it could have been a deer, could have been something, you know, could have been anything.

[00:15:32] And there's a kind of small hill on the side of the parking lot that leads up to the tree line.

[00:15:38] And we're hearing this thing coming up through the woods there.

[00:15:42] And I took out this huge spotlight that I have in my car and I'm shining it from the road along the wood line.

[00:15:50] And I got about halfway across this hill and something huge like was leaning out of the woods and like pushed down a branch, like peeking out from behind it.

[00:16:04] And when my light hit it, it let go of the branch and the branch snapped back up and back like to block whatever was there.

[00:16:13] And there's nothing else that could have been in there.

[00:16:18] So we told a couple of people about this and a couple of weeks later, I got a group together and we went back down there during the day this time.

[00:16:31] And we started poking around where that branch was.

[00:16:35] And we found out that it wasn't a branch, it was actually a small tree in that area where I'd seen this that was completely bowed over and something was standing behind it.

[00:16:48] We found 14 inch footprints, barefoot footprints in the ground right where that was leading back through the woods in the mud there.

[00:16:58] Nothing like castable or anything, but you could see the impressions in the soft ground and that.

[00:17:03] And so we went in through the woods during the day and we got to an area where there's this power line cut.

[00:17:13] And it's a low marsh area.

[00:17:18] There's the hill that I was talking about by the parking lot, then there's a low marsh area and then there's another hill and then a power line cut.

[00:17:26] And then the rest of the forest is on the other side of that.

[00:17:28] And we got to the base of that second hill and we're walking along the trail and kind of between the hill and the marsh area.

[00:17:39] And we're hearing these whistles coming from the top of the ridge that were by the hill.

[00:17:45] And so we're listening to that and we're like, what is this?

[00:17:50] Like something moving around up there.

[00:17:51] And then from the other side of the marsh comes another whistle.

[00:17:55] So we're getting these whistles going back and forth between the two hilltop ridges that were in between.

[00:18:03] And so finally we're like, OK, well something's at the top of this ridge.

[00:18:07] We're going to go up there and investigate it.

[00:18:09] So we started backtracking along the bottom trail to go up the hill towards this power line cut and then the top trail.

[00:18:16] And as we turn around to go back from the other side of the marsh is this huge just branch crack like somebody ripped a huge branch off of a tree.

[00:18:27] It was very loud.

[00:18:29] And we're like, wow, that was weird.

[00:18:32] I don't know what that was.

[00:18:34] You know, and this is back when we were just kind of getting into obviously all of this stuff and we're not really, you know, we knew some of the Bigfoot behavior and some of that stuff.

[00:18:44] But it was just really weird to hear all this stuff right your first time out.

[00:18:50] And so we got to the top of the ridge.

[00:18:53] We looked around up there, didn't find anything.

[00:18:55] And we went back out onto the power line cut and we're looking down into the marsh on the other side of the power line.

[00:19:03] And while we're standing there, this massive guttural growl comes out of the woods that we had just come out of the top of that second ridge line.

[00:19:13] And we all kind of just stopped and stared and, you know, we're trying to process what the heck we just heard and what this is.

[00:19:22] And eventually I had a thermal imaging camera, but it was just a handheld.

[00:19:27] It's a FLIR, but it just takes pictures.

[00:19:29] It doesn't do video or anything.

[00:19:31] And I took it and I went back into the woods that we had just come into and I didn't find anything.

[00:19:37] So we continued on.

[00:19:39] We finished going through the whole rest of the woods and we got done.

[00:19:42] We went back to the parking lot and it was starting to get dark.

[00:19:46] So we're like, OK, well, you know, we're here.

[00:19:48] Let's go back in at night and see what we can find again.

[00:19:51] So myself, Derek and Michael, the other one that we had with us.

[00:19:57] And then my mom and Michael's wife stayed out in the cars to kind of just keep an eye on the parking lot and stuff.

[00:20:04] They didn't want to come in at night.

[00:20:06] So we went in and we got back to that same ridge line and we were walking along the top of it.

[00:20:12] And on our way back out, I got on thermal an upright heat signature.

[00:20:20] And at the time I had thought that it like laid down on the ground.

[00:20:25] I got three pictures of it really tall, kind of half tall and then just kind of like a small spot of it.

[00:20:32] And I thought that it like laid down on the ground or something.

[00:20:35] But looking back, it had actually walked down the back of that ridge like towards the second marsh area.

[00:20:42] So we continued on and a little bit further up the path, I got another massive heat signature.

[00:20:51] And it's on the other side of the trail this time.

[00:20:54] And it looks like something standing next to a tree.

[00:20:59] And so it's, you know, it's the thermal imager is, you know, like about an inch by an inch and a half screen.

[00:21:06] So it's very hard to see anything on there.

[00:21:08] So I snap a picture of it like I don't know what that is.

[00:21:11] I'll take a look at when we get home.

[00:21:13] So when I got home, I have, you know, Photoshop and, you know, photo editing software and stuff like that.

[00:21:19] And I blew it up and enhanced it.

[00:21:21] And you can actually see like the edge of a tree and then one leg, one arm,

[00:21:30] and then a conical head of this creature standing, like leaning out from behind the street.

[00:21:38] And so that was our first experience.

[00:21:41] And we did a lot more research down there since then.

[00:21:46] But that was the investigation that started CAPS, Cryptids Anomalies in the Paranormal Society.

[00:21:51] And that's what led us down this whole thing.

[00:21:54] And we've been going ever since then.

[00:21:56] That was August of 2019.

[00:21:59] Now the thing that you saw, the description to me obviously sounds like a Sasquatch with the head and everything.

[00:22:08] Has there been reports of activity like more and more since then?

[00:22:13] Or is that just kind of one of those rare instances where you caught something?

[00:22:17] We have been in there at that time.

[00:22:22] We were going back about every other every weekend or every other weekend down there from August until about November.

[00:22:29] And we actually got a howl and we got a massive like shadow creature.

[00:22:40] I don't want to say a shadow creature, but like the silhouette of a creature standing up on it.

[00:22:46] We were down in the parking lot and this thing came out and stood in that power line cut.

[00:22:52] So it was it was up on the ridge, but you could just see like the black shadow of it standing there.

[00:22:57] Beyond that, we have all kinds of other activity in that area.

[00:23:01] Like I said, this place is a hotspot for everything from UFOs to the fey creatures.

[00:23:08] And just paranormal activity.

[00:23:11] We've experienced so many different things in just that woods that it was our we got all this evidence and we're like, well, what do we do with it now?

[00:23:23] You know, so I started putting it together and we made this little documentary about it.

[00:23:28] And that ended up being our first video on our YouTube channel on Wisconsin caps.

[00:23:34] And so then we're like, wow, this is this is really interesting.

[00:23:38] So we continued and we went to different locations and stuff and it all snowballed from there.

[00:23:44] And now we do documentaries once every two months.

[00:23:47] And then we have spin off series of just other research and different other areas.

[00:23:52] And like I said, that's that's kind of the instigating thing that snowballed from all this.

[00:23:57] But, you know, we've we've never we haven't come across any other major activity like we did that night.

[00:24:06] We haven't gotten any more thermal out of there or had the branch crack or anything like that.

[00:24:11] But we have had some other instances since then in there.

[00:24:14] So I was thinking like you mentioned Faye.

[00:24:21] What are some of the reports you've heard from that?

[00:24:23] Because I haven't really talked to too many folks that have had any sort of like actual experience.

[00:24:29] I've heard like Pukwudgies, stuff like that.

[00:24:32] But I don't know if you want to consider those fair or not.

[00:24:35] Like to me, I think they're different, like very folk and everything else to me is a little different than a Pukwudgie.

[00:24:43] Possibly. I mean, I would consider Pukwudgies part of the kind of Faye community as well.

[00:24:48] You know, you're talking about a lot of the folk and, you know, goblins and gnomes and stuff like that.

[00:24:54] So I would put them in that realm, depending.

[00:24:57] But yeah, we like I said, Linda, not Linda, Mary Sutherland literally wrote an entire book called The Burlington Vortex.

[00:25:05] And it's all about all the weird stuff that happens down in Burlington, Wisconsin and these woods.

[00:25:12] There's been she has gotten little footprints of a little humanoid something walking across the bridge down in the marsh there.

[00:25:24] I can't remember offhand any of the other stories that are like in her book or anything about that.

[00:25:29] But there's two stories that I can tell you from my personal experience in there.

[00:25:34] So the first one, there's these two big trees when you first go into the woods and Mary calls them the guardian trees.

[00:25:43] And there's a male guardian and a female guardian of the woods.

[00:25:47] And we were walking out one night that we were in there and we were doing like EMF sweeps, so electromagnetic field sweeps

[00:25:57] and just kind of seeing what was in there and stuff because we've had, you know, like I said, paranormal and other activity with stuff in there.

[00:26:04] So we we kind of run the gambit whenever we're in there.

[00:26:09] And we got to one of these trees and the EMF meter started spiking weird.

[00:26:16] So we decided to have this conversation with it and see what would cause this, because like I said, we're by the power line cuts.

[00:26:24] But other than that, there's no electrical in the woods.

[00:26:28] Obviously, when we go in, we turn our cell phones on airplane mode or off because we don't want interfering with the investigation.

[00:26:35] So we're getting these weird spikes of energy on this EMF meter and we start talking to it and we said, well, are you the guardian of the forest?

[00:26:44] Yes. You know, do you do you decide who can come and go in this forest?

[00:26:50] Yes. If you didn't want us here, could you make us leave?

[00:26:54] Yes. You know, different questions like this.

[00:26:58] And we have this full conversation with this entity that claims to be a fey creature that's guardian of the forest and protector there.

[00:27:09] And, you know, and it culminates here going going on with the conversation.

[00:27:16] And we said, well, you know, you have a lovely forest here.

[00:27:20] We appreciate you letting us come in here.

[00:27:23] We're going to go now, you know, and it kind of does a sign off, you know, like, yes, it acknowledges that.

[00:27:33] And then immediately after we say that this huge probably like 20 or so coyotes just lights up howling and yipping.

[00:27:43] And it sent shivers and goosebumps and chills all over your body.

[00:27:49] It was it was such a such a weird, surreal experience because, you know, like exactly when we signed off with whatever this thing is that we're talking to, we're like, you know, we're going to go now.

[00:28:02] Thank you. And all this this happens.

[00:28:06] So that was that was probably one of the that was, I think, one of the first experiences we had with whatever we call fey in there.

[00:28:13] And then the second most interesting experience, I guess we had set up some trail cameras in there and we were going in one night on our way to a different location to collect these trail cameras.

[00:28:29] So everything we do with caps, we do with GoPros night vision cameras.

[00:28:35] You know, we document everything. And basically for the sake of this, we walked straight in to the woods and will say directly to my kind of eat like directly behind us is the main road.

[00:28:53] Right. So we go straight in and then we turn down a side game trail to the left.

[00:29:00] Now, the road should be to my left, which was so I'm walking straight in.

[00:29:09] Take a left. The road is to my left.

[00:29:13] And I'm walking in towards the game trail and I towards the game camera.

[00:29:18] And I ended up back on the same path that I started on.

[00:29:23] So somehow I did a complete three sixty walking in a straight line with the road to my left the whole time, because this was this was in November.

[00:29:32] There's not a lot of leaves and tree cover and stuff in there.

[00:29:38] So you can see, you can hear the road and stuff going in there.

[00:29:41] And somehow I got completely three sixty turned around and ended up back on the main path.

[00:29:46] So that was weird to begin with.

[00:29:49] And when I got back to the main path, I was a little disoriented and I'm like, well, whatever.

[00:29:57] OK, I'm going to do this again.

[00:30:00] So I pulled out my phone and I had GPS to where the game camera was.

[00:30:05] And I walked straight in, followed the GPS, followed my location on the GPS to the game camera, found it, took it down, walked back out.

[00:30:16] And we went back out to the car.

[00:30:19] I had two other people with me at the time.

[00:30:21] And we started taking off our cameras and putting away the equipment and stuff.

[00:30:26] And then I realized that my handheld thermal imager that I spoke of earlier was not on me.

[00:30:34] And I'm like, well, what the heck happened?

[00:30:36] I must have dropped it in the woods or something.

[00:30:41] So I'm like, I need to go back and look for this and try and find it.

[00:30:45] So I thought, you know, whenever you have cameras on, nothing ever happens.

[00:30:51] So I thought for once, I need to get out of here.

[00:30:56] We had to be somewhere else.

[00:30:57] I'm going to run in with the flashlight, look for the look for the thermal imager and get out.

[00:31:04] So I went in again straight in and I see to my left something glowing on the ground.

[00:31:13] And I thought, oh, my screen of the thermal imager must still be on.

[00:31:17] And that might be it.

[00:31:19] So I turned, I looked to the left and what I see is this like fallen log with a hole in it.

[00:31:27] And at the top of that hole is this glowing light or about the size of a marble or a cat's eye.

[00:31:36] And I'm thinking, OK, so this is like an animal's eye that's illuminated, right?

[00:31:43] And so I take my flashlight off of it and it's still glowing.

[00:31:48] And I put it back and it's still there, obviously.

[00:31:52] But I can't it's not an eye.

[00:31:54] It's just this glowing marble size thing.

[00:31:58] And it changed color from like yellow to green.

[00:32:05] I'm like, I have no idea what this thing is.

[00:32:10] And so I'm watching this thing and I start hearing something moving around to my right in the woods.

[00:32:18] And if you look away from this thing, it's going to disappear.

[00:32:22] So I'm trying to focus on this and I start taking a step closer to it.

[00:32:27] And another thing like I don't know if I mentioned this, this is November.

[00:32:33] So it's cold already. It's already in the 30s in Wisconsin here.

[00:32:36] So there's no bugs, no frogs.

[00:32:38] There's no glowing beetles or lightning bugs or anything.

[00:32:41] That's all gone.

[00:32:43] There's no leaves on the trees anymore.

[00:32:46] This is fall. This is hunting season.

[00:32:51] So I don't know what this thing is.

[00:32:53] And I'm still hearing this movement off to my right.

[00:32:57] And I'm kind of getting a little concerned like something's moving towards me.

[00:33:02] I probably should look at what this is.

[00:33:04] And so I take my flashlight off of this glowing marble size object and I look to my right and I scan around and I don't see anything.

[00:33:14] And I look back to this glowing thing and it's gone, obviously.

[00:33:20] And I'm like, OK, I knew that was going to happen.

[00:33:23] I don't I still know what it is. But there was nothing there.

[00:33:26] Whatever it was just disappeared. It didn't crawl away.

[00:33:29] It didn't move. It was just gone.

[00:33:32] So I took two steps back and I'm back on the trail because I had moved off to try and look at this object.

[00:33:40] And I stepped back onto the trail and about two steps forward.

[00:33:45] And my thermal imager was laying right on the side of the trail right there.

[00:33:50] And I'm thinking to myself, you know, whatever this was, something got my attention there.

[00:33:57] And then it didn't want me in the woods.

[00:34:00] So these creatures, whatever, you know, what have you, literally brought the thermal imager, threw it down and said, OK, there it is.

[00:34:08] Get out, you know, whether or not that's what happened, whether or not they stole it from me in the first place or, you know, I don't know.

[00:34:17] But it's just a weird set of circumstances that I'm walking in the woods.

[00:34:21] I see this little glowing thing.

[00:34:24] It distracts me. And then my thermal imager was right there.

[00:34:28] And I don't I don't have an explanation for that.

[00:34:34] Weirdly enough, I can't relate to that in the sense of the equipment.

[00:34:44] But without going into the whole story, there was a time years ago that we were at a place that a lot of,

[00:34:51] suppose, a paranormal activity in a little cemetery and a buddy of mine had found a coin on a headstone.

[00:34:58] And for some reason, he decided he was going to pick this up and we begged him to throw it back or not throw it, but like take it back, put it back where he got it.

[00:35:06] Well, he ended up, we were about to be able to leave and convinced him to take it back.

[00:35:11] But he didn't want to take it back because it's so far out away and it's dark and all the weird stuff was going on.

[00:35:15] So he flung it like he just tossed it and made us all mad.

[00:35:18] So the next day I went back out there in the daylight and I made him go with us.

[00:35:23] Literally where he was standing and we seen him throw it was where this silver dollar silver 50 cent piece was at.

[00:35:30] We seen him throw it.

[00:35:32] So the next day, it was back in the same spot to where we were just at.

[00:35:35] So that was the creepiest thing that I've ever really experienced far or something like that.

[00:35:42] It's weird. Like there's there's so many.

[00:35:46] I mean, like we've put out two documentaries just on this woods alone of all the weird stuff.

[00:35:52] And you know, we've had paranormal activity in there.

[00:35:55] We've had we've seen like weird lights in the sky there.

[00:36:01] We've seen other weird orbs and lights and just all kinds of stuff in this woods.

[00:36:06] And that was just that was just our first place that we've ever investigated.

[00:36:10] I mean, we've we've gone all over the U.S. since then.

[00:36:13] We've been to some amazing places.

[00:36:16] We've gotten to investigate Gettysburg and I've actually gotten to go out to the property that neighbors Skinwalker Ranch,

[00:36:23] the UFO Valley Campground there.

[00:36:26] And I've got to investigate out there.

[00:36:28] We have investigated the property down by Bray Road, Lee Hampels Field.

[00:36:34] And that is very similar to a lot of the stuff that happens at Skinwalker Ranch.

[00:36:39] We have a brand new documentary coming out this July from our most recent trip down there to that.

[00:36:46] And it's just so much of this stuff is just, you know, you wouldn't believe unless you were there kind of stories and experiences.

[00:36:57] And it's just been very weird.

[00:36:59] Yeah, it's a.

[00:37:02] There's always certain places that I feel like they have certain energies and I don't know.

[00:37:06] Has anyone done any research into like the general area far as I know, like to say out west or place with like vortex energies and stuff like that?

[00:37:15] Have you guys looked into any sort of something of that nature to see if it's got like a high vortex type area?

[00:37:24] So there are a lot of ley lines that run through the Burlington Woods.

[00:37:29] OK, I don't know.

[00:37:31] There's a lot of energy and stuff in the town or the city of Burlington proper, which is just a couple like a mile or so up the road, two miles up the road.

[00:37:42] So this is just literally right on the edge of the property.

[00:37:45] If you stand at that power line cut, you can look down through the marsh and then there's like a cul-de-sac of houses back there.

[00:37:53] So this is, you know, it's not a big woods.

[00:37:57] You're thinking that this is this huge area, and it's really not.

[00:38:01] You could probably walk from your vehicle to the power line cut in five minutes.

[00:38:08] You're at a pretty good clip.

[00:38:11] But all this stuff happens, there's there's two sides of the woods.

[00:38:15] Like I said, there's the parking lot to the power line cut and then there's the power line cut on.

[00:38:21] And all of the weird creature face stuff has always happened in the first chunk of woods.

[00:38:29] So like woods, marsh woods.

[00:38:32] And then all of the weird paranormal stuff has happened past the power line cut in that second chunk of woods.

[00:38:40] We've never had anything that we could consider Bigfoot or Fay or any of that nature on the other side of the power lines.

[00:38:48] It's just this little part of the woods before you get to that cut that's always had all this weird stuff happen in it.

[00:38:56] And there's no houses, there's no other people out there that live or there's nothing else to account for this stuff going on like other people in there or anything.

[00:39:08] We've talked to other people that have walked through there that we've come across and everyone's like, yeah, this woods is really weird.

[00:39:15] We've had experiences in here.

[00:39:18] I actually just took a report.

[00:39:21] Somebody watched one of our episodes on YouTube and sent in a sighting report from a couple years ago where they saw this weird white creature come out of the woods and then like run up a tree on their property across the street.

[00:39:39] And they've heard other weird things like howls and stuff coming out of those woods.

[00:39:45] The woods also is about, we'll say like 20 minutes away from Bray Road.

[00:39:53] So you have like the Beast of Bray Road right there as well.

[00:39:56] And then the whole Lee Hampel's Hayfield is right down there by this area as well.

[00:40:01] So the whole part of that and then you go a little bit farther south and you end up in the southern Kettle Moraine State Forest.

[00:40:09] And there's all kinds of Bigfoot reports and everything out of there as well.

[00:40:13] There's all sorts of activities everywhere in places that you wouldn't even consider to be highly active.

[00:40:20] I've figured out just because even with stuff around here, you mentioned how small these woods are.

[00:40:28] There's been reports of sightings of weird things.

[00:40:33] I don't want to say Sasquatch or dog manoring, but weird humanoid looking things in this general area.

[00:40:42] And some of these areas that they're talking about is, I mean, it's bigger than obviously what you're describing, but it's not super large.

[00:40:49] It's not like a huge forested area.

[00:40:53] So it's kind of interesting.

[00:40:55] Just recently I had a, I think I mentioned this on a previous episode.

[00:41:00] A couple of weeks back I had someone talking to me about humanoid sightings.

[00:41:06] And when the person got, they were driving, when they got closer, they actually figured out that they were wings wrapped around these people and they flew off.

[00:41:15] I was like, it sounds like a giant bird, but then they said it had like human features.

[00:41:19] So I'm like, is it angel looking things? Is it gargoyle things? Is it a moth man?

[00:41:24] Like there's all sorts of weird things, but there's two different cases of that happening and not too far from my area.

[00:41:29] So I went out and drove around in the same vicinity of where these supposed sightings happened and I didn't see anything besides a bunch of deer.

[00:41:36] But like, I always enjoy hearing stuff that's supposedly close with to where I'm at because it gives me a chance to go out there and look around for stuff.

[00:41:49] I'm from Indiana, Northern Indiana.

[00:41:53] We did a whole two part series on the Chicago and the Chicago area moth man sightings.

[00:42:01] There was the one report, the one witness that I talked to actually saw it hovering above the quarry that's right on the Illinois Indiana border right there.

[00:42:15] And he was driving along and saw it just on the side of the road.

[00:42:20] He pulled over and a couple other cars as well pulled over and saw this thing.

[00:42:25] And they all kind of just like shook their heads and got back in their cars and drove away said.

[00:42:31] But you talk about like small wooded areas as well.

[00:42:36] There's all these sightings down there supposedly around the O'Hare airport.

[00:42:41] And so we went down there to investigate this and we're like, OK, if this is an actual living breathing animal, it has to live somewhere.

[00:42:51] It has to eat. You know, it has to reproduce.

[00:42:54] There has to be a population of these things.

[00:42:56] So we're like, where's there a wooded area around?

[00:43:00] And I was unaware of this.

[00:43:03] I don't know how many other people know about this, but there's a woods between Chicago and like the main highway area there.

[00:43:14] And it's a very narrow woods.

[00:43:17] It's about a city block, city block and a half wide.

[00:43:21] And that's it.

[00:43:22] There's a little river kind of stream that runs next to it.

[00:43:26] But it's about six miles long and it runs all the way from from Rosemont by the O'Hare airport all the way up.

[00:43:35] And it's it's this very dense, weird woods.

[00:43:40] And when we started looking into it and started investigating, we started getting all these reports of weird creatures and stuff in there.

[00:43:48] There was besides Mothman, there was a report of these people out there, you know, like just because there's there's trails and stuff in each of these woods.

[00:43:58] You know, there's parking and, you know, there's picnic areas and stuff and throughout this area.

[00:44:04] And on these trails, there was a group of kids that were in there and they saw what they said is like a large praying mantis creature.

[00:44:15] And I was like, man, that's that's weird.

[00:44:18] I would love to see a human sized praying mantis.

[00:44:21] I think that'd be kind of cool.

[00:44:23] I would not.

[00:44:26] I don't do bugs.

[00:44:27] It's better than some of the other creatures you could see.

[00:44:29] I mean, we go out looking for the dog man in that and you hear so many reports of just how creepy and malevolent feeling that thing is.

[00:44:39] And I always say, well, you know, we're out there looking for it, but I don't know if I really want to find that thing.

[00:44:43] You know, I don't want to run into it, but I'd run into a giant praying mantis.

[00:44:47] I think the reason I do this podcast is exactly because of dog man.

[00:44:52] Really?

[00:44:53] I'll tell you about it off there.

[00:44:55] But yeah, I had a strange encounter in 2007 and.

[00:45:03] It pretty much changed my whole perspective.

[00:45:05] And here I am 17 years later, hosting a podcast interviewing people about these type of things.

[00:45:11] So clearly it had some sort of impact on me.

[00:45:14] But but now we'll talk about that here off there.

[00:45:18] But when it comes to praying mantises, spiders, anything like that, I don't mess with those things.

[00:45:22] They can stay the hell away from me and yeah, I wouldn't want to meet a giant spider.

[00:45:26] I would not want to do that.

[00:45:28] I get praying mantises on the in the fall out around on my house.

[00:45:31] They're they blend into the brick of the house and I'm like, I see you.

[00:45:35] Don't worry.

[00:45:36] I'm not a bother.

[00:45:37] You stay over there and we're good.

[00:45:38] I don't mess with you.

[00:45:39] And then I know people are going to say, oh, they're terrible people.

[00:45:44] But back when I used to work at this place years ago, I was like 21 years old, 22 years old, so dumbass kid.

[00:45:52] But and I didn't do this, but.

[00:45:55] There was a praying mantis that came in the building.

[00:45:59] And one of my co-workers right by my co-workers leg and I yelled like the praying mantis.

[00:46:04] And he screamed so loud because I'm like yelling, he's yelling at us.

[00:46:09] It's like it freaks us both out.

[00:46:11] But one of the other guys working decided he was going to take an aerosol can.

[00:46:15] And his lighter and tried to light the thing on fire, which is a terrible thing to do to a bug.

[00:46:21] But he lit it on fire and it started flying off and hit the wall and the ball almost start to catch on fire.

[00:46:28] So praying mantis almost burned down this entire company we worked at because the third shift guys were dumb and terrified of a bug.

[00:46:38] I've seen one wild praying mantis in my life.

[00:46:42] It was in Ohio and it was dead on the sidewalk outside of a hotel.

[00:46:45] And that was when I was really young.

[00:46:47] And here in Wisconsin, I know we have them.

[00:46:50] A couple of people I'm friends with on Facebook and stuff have posted pictures of them last summer down in like Milwaukee area.

[00:46:57] And literally our main research area in upper Michigan for Bigfoot, there was a property down the road from it and they posted pictures of praying mantis.

[00:47:07] I'm like they're around, but I spend so much time up in the woods and stuff in there.

[00:47:11] And I've never seen one like alive and in person out in the field anytime.

[00:47:16] So I'm still looking forward to it.

[00:47:19] We get them around here a lot.

[00:47:20] You don't see them often.

[00:47:22] And last year, I think I saw like five or six around my house and I never messed with them.

[00:47:27] They're all right and they're fine.

[00:47:29] A few years ago before we lived at this house, apparently one got into the house and then another one got into the house.

[00:47:36] All in the same night.

[00:47:37] I was like it might've been the same one, but we weren't home.

[00:47:39] So luckily I didn't have to deal with that because I probably would have just moved out at that point anyways.

[00:47:45] They could take it over.

[00:47:46] I don't know what it is, but they creep me out mainly just because they look like little

[00:47:51] aliens on their heads.

[00:47:52] And then when you walk up to and it turns his head and looks at you sideways and watches

[00:47:55] you walk past like, I don't like a bug smart like that.

[00:47:57] I'm not a bug guy in general.

[00:47:59] And I don't like one that can look at me know what I'm doing.

[00:48:04] I'm not a fan of spiders, but no, I spiders not a fan of them either.

[00:48:09] But like I said, I don't go out of my way to kill bugs.

[00:48:12] Like if I see one, whatever, like I actually caught a huge wolf.

[00:48:16] Spider not too long ago and I took it out and I threw it over across the roadway into

[00:48:22] the field and my wife's why you kill is just going to come back.

[00:48:24] I was like, cause it's so big.

[00:48:25] I don't want to kill it at this point.

[00:48:26] And that mentioned if I step on it and I grabbed my foot and throws me because

[00:48:29] of the huge spider.

[00:48:30] I don't even want to mess with other.

[00:48:33] I'm just letting it free.

[00:48:34] I get my good karma when they can fight back.

[00:48:37] You don't want to deal with it.

[00:48:38] Exactly.

[00:48:39] I was like, he might have friends you never know.

[00:48:41] Absolutely.

[00:48:42] No, when it comes to a going out there and looking for a dog man or fighting a big foot

[00:48:49] or anything like that, I'm fine with that.

[00:48:51] When it comes to bug, nope, I'm done.

[00:48:56] Let's just hope if the aliens do come down, they don't look like the insectoids

[00:49:00] because I'm pretty much just, I'm done with it.

[00:49:04] That'd be my ideal.

[00:49:05] I'd rather deal with the mantis people and stuff than the, uh, than the grays

[00:49:09] and other things.

[00:49:12] Uh, the, the grays don't seem to creep me out as much for some reason.

[00:49:17] Maybe it's because I'm just sensitized to it.

[00:49:20] And then, uh, some of the other ones you hear about, they've all got the humanoid

[00:49:27] So I'm just like, well, if the nords come down, I'm not going to be really

[00:49:30] like afraid of them because they look like, but like us, it might be a little bit

[00:49:35] taller and then you got your reptilians living down in Antarctica eating on people

[00:49:40] and stuff.

[00:49:41] So I guess that that goes on too.

[00:49:47] Now we, uh, we cover a lot of topics on this show.

[00:49:50] So there's been a lot of different talks about reptilians and all the different

[00:49:54] little subspecies of aliens out there.

[00:49:59] Far as, uh, some of your UFO stuff or whatever you've seen anything, you

[00:50:04] mentioned, you saw there's been reports of activity up in that area, but have

[00:50:07] you seen anything specifically that stood out to you that you could classify as

[00:50:10] an UFO?

[00:50:12] So I've seen some, we, um, we did a two part documentary as well on UFO sightings

[00:50:20] and stuff in Wisconsin.

[00:50:22] And, uh, we do a lot of conventions and go to a lot of events and stuff

[00:50:25] and people come up to us and they say, Oh, I saw this UFO.

[00:50:29] Um, and you know, we get reports saying, okay, we just had a UFO fly

[00:50:33] over the house, you know, this is what it looked like.

[00:50:34] And that's, that's all well and good.

[00:50:37] But the problem is, is okay.

[00:50:39] If, if there's a big foot sighting, chances are it's probably still within

[00:50:44] a few miles of your house, right?

[00:50:45] They, they move around, but they're probably not going to get too far

[00:50:48] away within a day or two.

[00:50:50] So it's worth looking into when somebody tells me there's a UFO that

[00:50:55] flew over their house, it's like, great.

[00:50:56] Is it going to be there tomorrow?

[00:50:58] Is it going to come back?

[00:51:00] Did it land?

[00:51:01] Is there any physical evidence?

[00:51:02] No.

[00:51:04] Well, then there's really nothing I can do about it.

[00:51:06] So we took a different approach to this and, uh, we started looking into like

[00:51:12] reports of these things and took a lot of that stuff, but then we attempted

[00:51:18] a couple different CE five methods.

[00:51:22] We did one as a team at an area that has been like a hotspot for UFO

[00:51:27] activity in that, and we went out and CE five is close encounters

[00:51:32] of the fifth kind.

[00:51:33] It is self induced, uh, UFO experience.

[00:51:39] So you're, you're going out into the field.

[00:51:41] You're trying to project your location, project your intentions out into

[00:51:46] the universe and call these entities beings down.

[00:51:51] So we, we tried to take a very proactive approach to instead of,

[00:51:55] uh, there was a UFO here.

[00:51:57] Well, okay.

[00:51:58] Let's bring a UFO here.

[00:52:00] So we did one as a team and, uh, then we actually did a public one in

[00:52:05] Nina, Wisconsin, and we went out to this, uh, lighthouse that was

[00:52:09] on the edge of, uh, Lake Michigan.

[00:52:12] So we have this huge sky and water to look out across and we have

[00:52:17] this, you know, big lighthouse that we can use as a, uh, a beacon

[00:52:22] for lack of a better word, uh, to say, this is where we are come down.

[00:52:27] And, uh, so we, we actually, we set up all of our equipment, all of our,

[00:52:31] um, meters and everything and EMF and radio frequencies and, um, all that

[00:52:39] stuff.

[00:52:39] And then we also had a star chart map.

[00:52:43] We had a, um, airplane and satellite trackers and all that stuff running

[00:52:49] live on the table as well.

[00:52:52] So anything that came into the airspace, we would know if it was a satellite

[00:52:55] or a airplane or whatever.

[00:52:58] And we actually had one completely unidentified object in the sky that

[00:53:03] night, uh, for our public investigation.

[00:53:06] And you know, it was a light.

[00:53:08] It, it was up in the sky.

[00:53:09] It moved.

[00:53:11] We all saw it.

[00:53:12] That's about what it was.

[00:53:13] Um, it's not like a huge craft or something came down and landed and we

[00:53:17] saw it, but we did have, wasn't a satellite, wasn't a UFO or sorry,

[00:53:21] wasn't a plane.

[00:53:23] We don't know what it was.

[00:53:24] Um, but in, in my personal experiences, I actually was, uh, driving to work one

[00:53:31] night in Appleton, Wisconsin.

[00:53:33] And, uh, I was coming around, uh, for anybody that's from the area or whatever.

[00:53:38] There's this curve on highway 41 in Appleton, uh, past the mall and the,

[00:53:44] the baseball stadium there.

[00:53:47] And I came around this curve heading north towards green Bay and on the,

[00:53:55] uh, left side of the road, there was this huge like circle of

[00:54:01] lights, like a saucer.

[00:54:04] And, um, it was hovering just over these, like, uh, I don't know if

[00:54:09] they're apartments or what this building is right there.

[00:54:13] I'm pretty sure it's like apartments or duplexes or something, but

[00:54:16] um, it was probably maybe.

[00:54:20] Hundred feet or so, maybe 50, a hundred feet up above this set of buildings

[00:54:25] there right off the highway.

[00:54:28] Uh, it was dark out and all you saw was the lights of it.

[00:54:33] So I couldn't make out, you know, a craft or whatever it was.

[00:54:38] So I'm coming along the corner and I see this thing and I'm like, that

[00:54:41] doesn't belong there because I drive this way all the time I grew up in,

[00:54:45] in this area, there's no lights there.

[00:54:47] This doesn't belong.

[00:54:49] Uh, there is an airport out there, but this thing that I'm seeing isn't moving.

[00:54:55] It's just kind of like hovering there.

[00:54:58] And so I went down and I kept going down 41 and then the

[00:55:03] next exit wasn't for a couple miles.

[00:55:06] And I got off and I tried to come back on the service road, but the

[00:55:10] service road doesn't go all the way that far back out.

[00:55:13] And I didn't know that.

[00:55:14] So, um, I got back on the highway and then going south on 41.

[00:55:19] When I got back out there, it was gone.

[00:55:22] So within about, I would say not even 10 minutes, five, 10 minutes

[00:55:27] of passing this thing, it was gone.

[00:55:30] Um, it was not a airplane.

[00:55:33] Um, you know, like I said, we've done flight radar and tracking and stuff.

[00:55:37] You know, I I'm very familiar with what an airplane looks like.

[00:55:41] Like I said, the airport is right there.

[00:55:43] Whatever this thing was that had lights on it was just sitting there.

[00:55:48] So that's my pretty much only real UFO sighting that I can say aside from just

[00:55:55] random balls of light in the sky that move.

[00:55:59] I feel like a lot of people have random balls of light story because

[00:56:04] even I have something like that, but

[00:56:07] certain aspects to UFO sightings, just because you see something in the air.

[00:56:14] It's hard to relate what it could be.

[00:56:16] And I know a lot of people, for some reason, when you say UFO,

[00:56:19] they automatically think aliens and not everything in the sky would be an alien.

[00:56:26] And this is where I kind of struggle with too.

[00:56:29] If you're traveling through space and you can make it all the way here,

[00:56:33] why does some of these people report seeing blinking lights?

[00:56:36] Why wouldn't the UFO abide to the same sort of regulations that we have here

[00:56:42] in our aircraft space, you know what I mean?

[00:56:43] Like they wouldn't have the same concept of, you wouldn't think they'd

[00:56:47] have the same concept of our rules here that we have to have a green and red

[00:56:51] light flag.

[00:56:52] You know, I mean, so when people say they see red and green flashing

[00:56:55] lights, I'm like, it's probably just a normal plane.

[00:56:59] Absolutely.

[00:57:00] I used to work at a place where we spent a lot of time outside, you know, at night,

[00:57:04] just it was a factory and stuff, but we'd go out there with forklifts and

[00:57:07] stuff.

[00:57:08] And a lot of the times we'd see these weird lights in the sky and people

[00:57:12] would point them out and that, and I have the satellite trackers and

[00:57:22] You know, it's a trick of the light because you're looking up into the

[00:57:25] sky and you're looking at the sky and you're looking at the sky and

[00:57:28] because you're, you're looking up into the sky and it's dark and your eyes,

[00:57:33] you know, play tricks on you and stuff.

[00:57:34] And you see this weird thing getting brighter and brighter and you're like,

[00:57:40] well, there's no flashing lights on it.

[00:57:42] It's not a plane.

[00:57:43] And then all of a sudden it turns and then you see the lights.

[00:57:47] And then, you know, but like having that app on your phone allows you to

[00:57:51] pull it out and in real time go, this is the direction I'm looking.

[00:57:55] Oh, it's a satellite.

[00:57:56] Oh, it's a, you know, it's a plane.

[00:57:57] It's a helicopter or what have you.

[00:58:00] And, you know, if more people that are interested in this topic would take the

[00:58:04] two seconds to download apps like that and just, you know, be responsible

[00:58:11] for that information because, you know, that's just it is if you do see

[00:58:17] something, document it, you know, take pictures of it, take video if it's

[00:58:21] possible, you know, everyone has a cell phone and stuff.

[00:58:23] And if you're seeing this weird light in the sky, if you can get a

[00:58:27] video of it, if you can get a picture of it, that's great.

[00:58:30] But make sure what it is that you're looking at, you know, and when you

[00:58:35] look at your, your flight tracker or your, your satellite tracker, and

[00:58:39] there's nothing there that there's nothing that should be in that spot

[00:58:43] in the sky, then you have something more credible, you know, and you

[00:58:47] can say, I don't know what that is.

[00:58:50] It is not this, this, this, this.

[00:58:53] And you have this unexplained event and, and, you know, and then you can start

[00:58:57] researching it and documenting it and say, okay, it's a light, it moved in

[00:59:01] this direction and then, you know, maybe it turns and then you see that

[00:59:06] it's a plane or something, you know?

[00:59:07] And, um, but you also have the time and the date and stuff, and you

[00:59:12] can look back and compare notes.

[00:59:13] You know, there's plenty of like, um, MUFON and other organizations

[00:59:17] out there that keep, uh, databases of sightings and that, and then you can

[00:59:22] go and you can look and see, okay, somebody else saw this light or somebody

[00:59:27] else reported something in the vicinity.

[00:59:29] And, you know, it's, it's, it's really cool to be able to, to

[00:59:32] research and document that way and compare notes.

[00:59:35] So I highly recommend that to everybody out there.

[00:59:38] The episode that just recently released was a UFO episode on my podcast.

[00:59:46] And one of the guys that was on that as a split, as a double on the first

[00:59:51] guy only was on for maybe like 15, 20 minutes, I ended up putting a second

[00:59:54] guest on just because trying to make it about an hour and the second

[00:59:59] guest was my friend who had actually he's been on the show before we do

[01:00:03] a side show now on my Patreon together, but if you can see the

[01:00:10] artwork for the podcast here on zoom, the very bottom, you see how

[01:00:14] kind of smoky, foggy and the lights like that.

[01:00:17] Yep.

[01:00:18] He said that is what he, they were, he was Ubering and he picked up somebody

[01:00:22] and the sky kept doing it like a big flash, like it all light up.

[01:00:25] It was really dense fog that night.

[01:00:27] And you could see like the lights.

[01:00:29] They couldn't ever figure out what was causing it.

[01:00:31] And it was like a weird, it's like a mixture of a blue and almost, he

[01:00:39] said, it's very similar to what is on the bottom of this.

[01:00:41] He said, and it randomly just the whole area just light up and then go away.

[01:00:45] The light up and go over like, so I don't know whether it could

[01:00:49] have been like maybe the lightning.

[01:00:51] I said it was police.

[01:00:52] You'd see a lot more flashing when just light up and then go away.

[01:00:55] So yeah.

[01:00:57] So I don't know what it could have possibly had been, but this

[01:01:01] was back in December, so it wasn't too long ago.

[01:01:05] It was up in Northern Indiana.

[01:01:10] No, I, uh, that's the one instance where for the Dean foggy and everything.

[01:01:16] You can't really see I live by an airport too.

[01:01:19] And at nighttime they have the spotlight that spins around.

[01:01:22] So every time I look out back, especially if it's foggy, you can see it light up,

[01:01:28] but it's almost like a blue light.

[01:01:30] So, I don't know.

[01:01:33] Yeah.

[01:01:33] It's, it's weird.

[01:01:35] Like a lot of the times, you know, people don't realize how far light travels,

[01:01:40] you know, and how far away something can be and still be illuminated.

[01:01:45] Uh, we did research on the Paul Deng light up in, um, Bruce

[01:01:50] crossing upper Michigan.

[01:01:53] And it's this ghost light along this, uh, supposedly old

[01:01:57] railroad track power line cut.

[01:01:59] And no one could figure out for years where this weird light would

[01:02:03] come from at the end of this power line cut.

[01:02:05] You park at the end of this, you know, dead end road and you look out

[01:02:08] and there's this light in the distance.

[01:02:11] And, uh, it's, it's actually car traffic.

[01:02:14] We, we brought a really big, uh, telescope out there and other people

[01:02:19] now have confirmed and you know, stuff like that, there's been more research

[01:02:23] done, but, um, it's car headlights, but there's no road for like five

[01:02:28] miles past that.

[01:02:31] So this is the old highway and they, they put in a new highway off on the

[01:02:36] side and it supposedly this all, you know, the light was there before

[01:02:41] the highway was put in.

[01:02:43] And, you know, there's all these legends and stuff out there.

[01:02:45] But, um, if you take a, uh, a high powered telescope and you look down

[01:02:50] this power line cut and road there, whenever the light shows up, you can

[01:02:55] see car headlights and you can see cars.

[01:02:58] So it, it's my opinion that it's probably just car headlights.

[01:03:02] But to the point, you know, this is literally on a map, probably about

[01:03:06] five miles in a straight line from there is where these headlights are

[01:03:12] just bridging this edge of a hill.

[01:03:15] And that's when they're coming out and shining down this power line

[01:03:18] cut to become the holding light, but it's nowhere near it, you know?

[01:03:23] So when people look at a map and they say, well, there's, there's

[01:03:26] nothing out there, you know, it can't be a road.

[01:03:28] There's no road there.

[01:03:29] You're right.

[01:03:30] There's not, but farther out, there is a road and you know, on, on

[01:03:36] foggy nights, it's really cool to go out there and experience because

[01:03:41] you have all these people out there, you know, come to see it and stuff.

[01:03:44] And, um, every time the light comes up and illuminates the

[01:03:48] whole fogginess at the end, you know, all the people in the crowd

[01:03:51] are like, oh, wow, there it is.

[01:03:54] And it's, it was one of our, my personally like favorite experiences

[01:03:58] that we had, even though it's just car headlights, but, but being out there

[01:04:02] with all the people and experiencing it and stuff, and it was a

[01:04:06] very cool experience.

[01:04:07] So

[01:04:09] yeah, it's, I've heard people talk before that they get these

[01:04:13] weird lights and they see like these orbs or something through their house

[01:04:15] and they come to find out it's like they see headlights and somehow

[01:04:19] it reflects and then it reflects and looks like a orb floating through

[01:04:22] their house was really just a car headlight from down the road and

[01:04:26] people are reporting, seeing like these weird orbs in their home.

[01:04:31] It's like, again, I try and write everything off before I jump to

[01:04:36] conclusions.

[01:04:37] So it's like, why wouldn't, how long have you lived there?

[01:04:42] You never noticed the headlights before.

[01:04:44] I don't know.

[01:04:46] So, yeah,

[01:04:47] yeah, absolutely.

[01:04:48] You know, something, you know, you put up a new picture or something

[01:04:51] or turn a vase the wrong way.

[01:04:53] And now all of a sudden the reflective surface is pointing at the window.

[01:04:57] You know, it's, it's little things like that.

[01:04:58] Like I've, uh, I was sitting on my couch one day and I saw these two

[01:05:04] amber, like glowing eyes slowly pulsing in and out, like blinking

[01:05:10] in my window and I'm kind of like freaked out.

[01:05:13] I'm like, what the heck is outside my window?

[01:05:15] Like staring at me with these amber eyes.

[01:05:18] And, uh, I, I took my phone out and I started videoing it because I'm

[01:05:22] like, I don't know what this is, but I'm going to document it, you

[01:05:25] know, before it goes away.

[01:05:27] And once I got, you know, about a minute of this eyes blinking

[01:05:32] outside my window, I stood up and went towards it and come to find

[01:05:35] out, um, I have a flash drive that plugs into the back of my TV.

[01:05:41] And it has a glowing amber light on it that slowly pulses.

[01:05:48] And it just happened to be in the right spot that it was reflecting

[01:05:52] in my window and at an angle where it looked, it was reflecting twice.

[01:05:58] So it was these two reflections of this, and it just looked like

[01:06:02] blinking amber eyes in the window.

[01:06:04] And it was, it was really freaky looking, but it was literally

[01:06:08] just the jump drive in the back of my TV flashing and reflecting.

[01:06:11] So I absolutely see how somebody could, could mistake something like that.

[01:06:16] Yeah.

[01:06:17] There's all sorts of weirdness that we think we see, and it could be easily

[01:06:22] explained, but then there's those few cases to where there's things

[01:06:25] that you think can, you can explain and there's no explanation for them.

[01:06:28] And that's when you're like, what the hell?

[01:06:30] Absolutely.

[01:06:31] And that's, that's, that is absolutely what is important about this

[01:06:34] because once you have ruled out all of that other stuff and you can say

[01:06:40] it is not this, this, this, this, this, then your evidence is even better.

[01:06:44] Then you even better story.

[01:06:46] That is the stuff that you put out and, and, uh, and share.

[01:06:50] And that's what we do.

[01:06:51] So, no, it's kind of what I aim to do when I talk with people or whatever.

[01:06:58] And I'm not here to prove or disprove anyone.

[01:07:00] That's not my prerogative.

[01:07:01] It's not what this shows about or anything like that.

[01:07:04] I've always told people, I was like, I always look at things

[01:07:06] from a skeptical point of view, just because I'm not saying I'm not a

[01:07:11] believer, I'm very open-minded, but I don't take everything as what someone's

[01:07:18] telling me to be a hundred percent true.

[01:07:20] And I'm not saying that they're lying, but it's like, maybe there's

[01:07:24] another explanation for it, if that makes any sense, like absolutely.

[01:07:30] And there's always ways to try and figure that out.

[01:07:36] But obviously on a podcast, I can't sit here and be like, oh, you're

[01:07:38] wrong, this is not how people would do that.

[01:07:41] People that do that don't even need to be having a microphone behind them.

[01:07:44] They're just idiots.

[01:07:46] But I'm just here to let people talk about what they've experienced.

[01:07:53] I've, you know, we go all over the country to different conventions and

[01:07:57] speaking engagements and stuff, libraries and that, and people come up

[01:08:00] and they share their stories and they say, well, you know, uh, do

[01:08:03] you believe in this stuff or do you believe in mermaids?

[01:08:06] Do you believe in this?

[01:08:07] Do you believe in dragons?

[01:08:08] And I'm like, you know what?

[01:08:10] I personally have experienced things that I would not expect anyone else

[01:08:14] to believe if they hadn't been there.

[01:08:17] And it is not my job to sit here and say that my experience is any more

[01:08:24] valid or any more real than something that you've experienced.

[01:08:28] I know what has happened to me in places that I've been.

[01:08:33] And like I said, there's, there are some wild stories

[01:08:35] that nobody would believe.

[01:08:37] You know, I was there and I don't necessarily believe

[01:08:40] that what happened happened.

[01:08:42] And when, you know, so I do, I believe anybody that has a story,

[01:08:47] you know, with a grain of salt, because there are some, some people out there.

[01:08:51] But for the most part, you come up and tell me a story and you say

[01:08:54] that a mermaid flopped out of the lake in your backyard and I'll be like,

[01:08:57] okay, do you have any evidence?

[01:08:59] Can I come investigate?

[01:09:00] Can I come look for the mermaid?

[01:09:01] You know, great.

[01:09:03] I'm happy for you, you know, but it's all open, you know, until we have a solid,

[01:09:12] you know, a big foot in a cage somewhere that we can research and look at.

[01:09:17] There's no right or wrong answer to any of this stuff.

[01:09:19] It's all up for interpretation.

[01:09:22] And that's what makes it so interesting and, you know, following

[01:09:26] this path and trying to figure things out.

[01:09:29] Not to sound like a D bag here, people have reached out to me, but in the

[01:09:35] last 48 hours I've had three different people reach out to me.

[01:09:41] And I don't know if they're just joking around or trolling

[01:09:43] or what's going on, but they've all said that they are a God.

[01:09:51] Really?

[01:09:51] And I haven't scheduled anything with them.

[01:09:53] I also haven't even responded to him and one lady, I just straight up

[01:09:57] blocked because I said, I can go down some rabbit holes, but then there's

[01:10:03] some times it's just like really.

[01:10:05] And one of the people that have reached out, they'd sent this message

[01:10:10] that all those years of people saying that they're crazy or whatever,

[01:10:16] and the voices in their heads are telling them all these things

[01:10:19] they've determined that they're not really crazy, that they're

[01:10:22] just actually God and all the voices they're hearing is from other people.

[01:10:26] And they're the living embodiment of God on earth.

[01:10:30] And I was just like, okay.

[01:10:32] I mean, that sounds like schizophrenia to me, but you know, I'm not,

[01:10:36] not here to exploit anyone and someone else said that they were not a God.

[01:10:44] Then by the end of it, they said they actually were a God and they're

[01:10:46] smarter than everyone else and like very egotistical like condescending.

[01:10:49] I was like, I don't want anything to do with that either.

[01:10:52] And someone else told me that some people think they could be possibly

[01:10:58] a God or a devil, but they're all knowing that I was like, okay.

[01:11:04] So I just seemed strange.

[01:11:05] I got three of those in like a 24 hour span.

[01:11:09] So I don't, I don't know if he was out there screwing around with me or

[01:11:12] what, but I've never really had anyone reach out to me about that stuff

[01:11:15] before, so it just seemed strange at all of a sudden I got it all yesterday.

[01:11:19] Hmm.

[01:11:21] The same person just emails you three times or something, but it is

[01:11:25] interesting the middle one that you're talking about where the hearing

[01:11:29] voices is the voices of all the people praying and stuff.

[01:11:31] That is a very deep concept right there.

[01:11:35] Like if, if there's something, uh, you know, forgive me, but if there's

[01:11:40] something like mentally wrong with, with the person, you know, that's

[01:11:42] still like, holy, holy crap.

[01:11:45] You know, that's a very in depth, insightful thought, you know, and

[01:11:51] a completely different way to look at the whole, uh, topic of

[01:11:56] hearing voices and stuff.

[01:11:57] I don't know.

[01:11:58] I guess if, if I was getting those, uh, to, to be like on one of my

[01:12:04] shows or something, I, I would probably want to talk to it.

[01:12:09] Well, at least that one I would want to talk to and just, just for

[01:12:12] my, my personal sake of curiosity to, you know, if you are a God, tell

[01:12:18] me, you know, uh, give me some proof, give me some evidence, you know,

[01:12:21] um, you know, something of that nature.

[01:12:25] Cause you know, there's, there's weird things out there in the world

[01:12:30] and who knows for real?

[01:12:32] And I mean, I'm not, I'm not saying that it's truer or not,

[01:12:35] but it's definitely interesting.

[01:12:38] I just have like a moral compass to where I feel like if I know

[01:12:40] someone's probably got something possibly mentally wrong or unstable,

[01:12:45] I'm not trying to bring them on here just to do that.

[01:12:47] Cause I don't want to be that person like, Oh, he doesn't care who he

[01:12:49] brings on, he just exploits it for content.

[01:12:51] That's not what I'm about.

[01:12:53] No.

[01:12:54] So anyone out there listening, I'm not trying to offend

[01:12:57] anyone or anything like that.

[01:12:59] It's just, I try and keep myself as a good person and I don't

[01:13:02] want to be the type of person that seems like I'm taking advantage

[01:13:07] There's, there's been times that I've interviewed people or something

[01:13:10] and it doesn't make the cut to, to be on a show or something just

[01:13:14] because like you said, you know, you're not out there to exploit

[01:13:18] people or anything, but out of my own personal interest, I owe it

[01:13:22] to myself as a researcher and stuff to, you know, go down those

[01:13:25] avenues and experience those stories and hear them because.

[01:13:30] You know, I've, I've, well, you said I've, I've heard a lot

[01:13:33] of weird stories that, you know, most people wouldn't believe,

[01:13:36] but then you go there and you, you investigate and you say, Oh,

[01:13:39] well, maybe there is some truth to this, you know?

[01:13:42] And I'm not saying that's the case with these guys, but, um,

[01:13:45] you know, every, every avenue of legitimate weirdness should be

[01:13:50] explored if you can safely.

[01:13:52] And, you know,

[01:13:54] just, just for a little more clarification, one of the

[01:13:57] people that I've continued to, I don't want to say creep on them,

[01:14:01] but I keep looking at their page and like the stuff that they're

[01:14:03] posting or they're definitely not a, yeah.

[01:14:06] If they're God, if they're God, they wouldn't be posting on Facebook.

[01:14:10] And that's the thing is their profile picture, uh, God, like

[01:14:16] there's nothing, none of them had an actual photo of themselves.

[01:14:19] That's why I figured, I feel like when I get messages from people

[01:14:23] that have no actual, like their names are hard to even pronounce.

[01:14:27] Like they look like random letters all just thrown together

[01:14:29] and they have no photos and it's all just like either like

[01:14:32] cartoon pictures or something like, I feel like they're either bots

[01:14:35] or fake accounts or someone trying to troll people.

[01:14:38] And it's hard to weed through all the big stuff, I guess.

[01:14:44] So like I said, I, I'm picky and when it comes to people,

[01:14:48] I schedule every one that I can.

[01:14:49] And I'm not trying to tell anyone, no, they can't come on the show,

[01:14:52] but it's not, I'm not here just to let every single person come on

[01:14:56] here and feed me a whole line of crap or whatever.

[01:15:41] you can clearly tell it's he's trying to be serious about

[01:15:46] everything that's a very sincere type thing, but I don't believe

[01:15:50] anyone can raise a dog man.

[01:15:53] It was like your pet and then go out and hunt with it.

[01:16:17] They think it's a lost dog.

[01:16:18] I could buy the story of finding and raising one of these creatures, but

[01:16:22] then, then we go down a little bit farther of the, you know, the, the

[01:16:25] hunting other cryptids thing and it's like, okay, well sure.

[01:16:29] Yeah.

[01:16:30] And then there's been stories which again, I've never heard this

[01:16:32] episode or anything about it, but I've heard people talking about how

[01:16:36] there's a guy that comes on some of these other shows and he was being

[01:16:42] attacked or being stalked by like a dog man and the archangel Michael or

[01:16:46] something came down with a samurai sword, chopped the dog man's head off.

[01:16:50] And like all of us was like, what?

[01:16:53] Like I wouldn't put anything like that out on our ear just because

[01:16:58] that's my own, like if someone else wants to do it, that's fine.

[01:17:01] I'm not here for, I guess that I'd rather have something that sounds

[01:17:06] at least more realistic.
